(BGDT) - Implementing the plan of the Director of Bac Giang Provincial Police, the Traffic Police force of Viet Yen District Police was reinforced to perform duties in Luc Nam District and urgently approached the area, improving the effectiveness of handling violations of road traffic safety and order.

The specialized patrol team coordinated with the district police to increase forces, proactively apply many new methods, ensuring safety during the process of stopping and controlling vehicles.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huu Hung, Captain of the Traffic and Order Police (Luc Nam District Police), in the past 2 months, the number of alcohol concentration violations has decreased significantly, due to "strong propaganda, strict handling, and heavy fines", but many people are still subjective and take it lightly.

After 10 days of implementing the plan of the Provincial Police Director, Luc Nam District Police handled 119 cases of traffic safety violations, with violations such as speeding, alcohol concentration violations, overloading...

In recent days, the Task Force has discovered and handled many cases of serious violations. Among them, many people drove cars carrying family members after leaving a drinking party together.

Notably, at 9:45 p.m. on May 27, two brothers Nguyen Van Q and Nguyen Van Qg, residing in Doi Ngo town (Luc Nam) and two other friends, after consuming alcohol, went home together in car 98A.593.ZZ driven by Nguyen Van Qg.

When the Traffic Police of Luc Nam District Police checked, the driver violated the alcohol concentration at the highest penalty level (0.454 mg/1 liter of breath). While Nguyen Van Q was working with the Traffic Police, Nguyen Van Qg pushed the police on duty. The District Police immediately controlled Nguyen Van Qg and brought him to the headquarters to clarify the violation.

Currently, the District Police Investigation Agency is continuing to verify and clarify to handle according to regulations.

During the special evening session on May 29, the traffic police force made a record of 3 cases, in which the driver of car 98A-109.XX, after nearly an hour of explaining and making phone calls, cooperated with the traffic police to measure the alcohol concentration, the violation result was at 0.434 mg/1 liter of breath.

Recently, the Overloaded Vehicle Handling Task Force discovered and recorded 4 vehicles with a capacity of 30 tons, brand HOWO, transporting soil from Huong Son commune to Tan Hung commune (Lang Giang) passing through the intersection of Bao Son commune (Luc Nam). Although the walls and the body were not expanded, and there was a tarpaulin covering to ensure environmental hygiene, each vehicle was overloaded with soil from over 1 ton to nearly 4 tons.

During the peak period, the Task Force continued to inspect the routes and exchange information with relevant units to coordinate in thoroughly handling and preventing violations right from the starting point, not allowing violations to recur.

Through the traffic surveillance camera system, in the past 10 days, Luc Nam District Police have detected and sent notices to 114 vehicle owners and drivers who violated the law to carry out the "cold" penalty procedure.

Luc Nam District Police requested people to continue to strictly comply with traffic safety regulations, ensuring safety for themselves and others. The unit has publicized a hotline number (02403.884.205) for people to contribute opinions and reflect issues related to security, order and traffic safety.

On May 1, 3,576 cases of alcohol concentration violations were handled.

On May 1, the third day of the holiday, there were 24 traffic accidents nationwide, killing 10 people and injuring 19 people, down 2 cases, down 1 death and down 7 injuries compared to the same holiday in 2022. All of these accidents occurred on roads; there were no traffic accidents on railways and waterways.
