Punishing a series of pharmaceutical, cosmetic and pharmacy companies in Ho Chi Minh City

The Inspectorate of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has just issued a decision to impose administrative penalties on many establishments in the fields of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, medical equipment, and bidding in the city during the first half of July.

Accordingly, the Department Inspectorate discovered that Science & Beauty Company Limited (Pham Thai Buong Street, Phu My Hung Urban Area, Tan Phong Ward, District 7) produced, imported, stored and traded cosmetic products with labels or accompanying documents that did not fully or incorrectly contain the required content on the product label as prescribed.

For this violation, the above company was fined 12.5 million VND and forced to recall goods and label goods properly before continuing to circulate the batch of sunscreen and moisturizer products.

Due to trading in cosmetics with formulas that do not match the approved declaration documents, Viet Anh Development Import-Export Company Limited (41-43, Street 56, Thanh My Loi Ward, Thu Duc City) was fined 80 million VND and forced to recall and destroy two lines of Dorall perfume.

The Department Inspectorate also fined Sci-Dem Professionals Company Limited (29 Mai Thi Luu, Da Kao Ward, District 1) VND70 million because the documents in the dossier announcing the standards applied to medical equipment of types A and B did not ensure legality according to the provisions of law.

Similar to the violation, Vinhoa ​​Company Limited (93 Nguyen Thi Xinh, Thoi An Ward, District 12) and AIC Medical Aesthetics Company Limited (73-75A Nguyen Khuyen, Ward 12, Binh Thanh District) were also fined 70 million VND.

For not storing drugs in accordance with the conditions stated on the drug label, An Khang Pharmacy 125 (126 Lien Khu 5-6, Ward 5, Binh Hung Hoa B Ward, Binh Tan District) was fined 15 million VND by the Department of Inspection.

Two batches of acne prevention skin cream from the Pharmaceutical and Medical Biology Joint Stock Company (31 Ngo Thoi Nhiem, Vo Thi Sau Ward, District 3) were also forced to be recalled because the product labels did not fully or correctly contain the required information according to regulations.

The company was also fined 27.5 million VND.

In addition to the above companies, the Department Inspectorate also fined Ms. Do Thi Tham (203 Provincial Road 8, Hamlet 2A, Tan Thanh Tay Commune, Cu Chi District) VND 7.5 million for forging one of the documents and records requesting a pharmacy practice certificate.
