The Hanoi People's Committee has issued Official Dispatch No. 201/UBND-TH requesting departments, branches, sectors and People's Committees of districts, towns to continue to seriously implement Directive No. 40-CT/TW dated December 11, 2024 of the Secretariat on organizing the Lunar New Year 2025; Directive No. 45/CT-TTg dated December 18, 2024 of the Prime Minister on strengthening measures to ensure a joyful, healthy, safe and economical Lunar New Year 2025; Directive No. 38-CT/TU dated December 20, 2024 and Plan No. 276-KH/TU dated November 18, 2024 of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to lead, direct and organize activities for the New Year 2025 and Lunar New Year 2025 of the City; Directive No. 15/CT-UBND dated December 29, 2024 of the Chairman of the City People's Committee on organizing the celebration of the Lunar New Year 2025 in Hanoi.
Departments, branches, sectors and People's Committees of districts, towns strictly implement the on-duty regime, monitor, grasp the situation, promptly resolve arising work during Tet holidays, proactively report to the City People's Committee on outstanding issues, beyond authority (if any) in the sector, field, and management area.
In addition, functional units maintain the work of ensuring political security, social order and safety, ensuring traffic safety, fire prevention, rescue, disease prevention and control... in the city, not allowing sudden and unexpected situations to occur, especially ensuring absolute safety of key targets and activities to welcome the Lunar New Year 2025 taking place in the city.
Inspecting the management and organization of festivals in Hanoi in 2025
The Hanoi People's Committee has issued Decision No. 370/QD-UBND on the establishment of an interdisciplinary inspection team to inspect the management and organization of festivals in the city in 2025.
According to the Decision, the Head of the Inspection Team is Mr. Do Dinh Hong - Director of the Department of Culture & Sports. The Deputy Head of the Team is Mr. Pham Xuan Tai - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture & Sports.
The inspection team is responsible for organizing inspections, detecting, handling, and recommending handling of violations of the Regulations on festival organization; acts of commercial fraud, trading in counterfeit and poor quality goods; money exchange services; food and beverage services, price gouging, and taking advantage of tourists; begging, fortune telling, superstition; theft, and gambling in all forms; environmental sanitation; food safety and hygiene; security and order, fire prevention, and traffic safety at festivals.
