On December 8, the People's Committee of Phuong Sai Ward (Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa) reported the incident of three street vendors fighting with Chinese tourists at Long Son Pagoda. At the same time, Phuong Sai Ward Police also invited the three people to the headquarters for questioning because of their behavior of disturbing public order.
" The People's Committee of Phuong Sai Ward directed the Ward Police to urgently collect sufficient evidence and strictly handle acts of disturbing public order. Acts of competing for tourists or forcing tourists to buy goods or use services have a negative impact on the tourism environment in the province, " informed Ms. Tran Thi Thu, Vice Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Phuong Sai Ward.

Previously, the social network TikTok spread a clip recording images of street vendors scuffling with some Chinese tourists at Long Son Pagoda. As soon as the clip spread, Phuong Sai Ward Police invited 3 street vendors at Long Son Pagoda yard, including TTNT (30 years old), TTNY (28 years old) and NTN (30 years old, all residing in Nha Trang City) to come in for questioning.
According to the testimony, at around 1:20 p.m. on December 1, 2024, TTNT sold 2 foreign tourists a bundle of incense for 10,000 VND. The foreign tourists gave 50,000 VND, and T. returned the change of 40,000 VND. The two tourists visited the temple 15 minutes later and returned to demand the change because they claimed that they had previously given T. a 500,000 VND bill, not 50,000 VND. After that, the two sides argued and fought back and forth and were stopped by people around.
Currently, because the victim has not been found, the violation has not been determined. The ward police continue to consolidate the case file, extract camera footage at the pagoda to continue processing and then have a more complete report.
