New trends in finance, accounting, auditing in the digital age

The workshop was organized by Nha Trang University in collaboration with Tay Nguyen University and Quy Nhon University on July 1 in Nha Trang City (Khanh Hoa). Nearly 200 guests from 20 universities and research institutes across the country attended the workshop.

The content of the workshop focused on the current status of Vietnamese accounting standards and the approach, roadmap and integration process with international accounting standards. This is a valuable opportunity for researchers, lecturers and students to be provided with a lot of useful knowledge and information from scientists holding leadership positions, directly working in professional work, teaching at universities, thereby contributing to improving the quality of accounting, auditing and finance training programs.

Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quoc Hung, Vice Rector of Nha Trang University, said that the 4.0 industrial revolution and the rapid development of the digital economy have had a strong impact on the economy in general and the fields of accounting, auditing, finance and management in particular. The conference is an important platform for researchers, lecturers and students to exchange and share knowledge and experience and discuss new trends in the fields of finance, accounting, auditing and management. With the presentation "Accounting development strategy - exchange and policy implications", Prof. Dr. Chuc Anh Tu, Editor-in-Chief of Accounting and Auditing Journal, Head of Examination and Quality Management Department - Academy of Finance, outlined the overall picture of international and Vietnamese accounting standards. Prof. Dr. Tu also presented the provisions of the accounting and auditing development strategy, decisions on the application of international accounting standards, promulgation of public accounting standards; identified the integration content and implemented the accounting integration process step by step. From there, Prof. Dr. Tu made discussions and policy implications on the international integration process in the accounting field in the coming time.

More than 110 research papers on new issues arising in the theory and practice of digital transformation in the fields of accounting, auditing and finance were discussed by scientists and experts. From there, experts made a number of recommendations on promulgating, applying and innovating policies, regimes and development strategies as well as innovating content, programs and teaching methods to suit the new situation, meeting the trend of international integration.
