Stirring up a turtle-shaped rock being offered 1 billion VND in Nghe An

On June 11, information appeared on Facebook that while digging the foundation for a house, a family discovered a rock shaped like a turtle. After being posted, this image caused a stir in public opinion.

Through investigation, a few days ago, a man in Dong Hoanh hamlet (Dong Van commune, Tan Ky district, Nghe An) while digging soil to build a house foundation discovered a rock with a strange shape resembling a turtle. This rock was later purchased by a local resident. The initial purchase price was not disclosed.

After that, the rock was bought by Mr. LH (born in 1976, residing in Tan Ky district) and his friends for 100 million VND.

“We bought the turtle-shaped rock in Dong Van commune for 100 million VND. Some people in the North also called to buy it for about 1 billion VND, but everyone refused to sell,” Mr. H. shared.

Speaking by phone, Chairman of Dong Van Commune People's Committee Nguyen Van Thang said that the local government has not yet grasped the specifics of the turtle-shaped rock that people dug up. The authorities are currently verifying the information.
