Forklift kills person in Thu Duc City

(NLDO) - A forklift transporting a container was reversing when it hit the driver of a tractor-trailer who was checking the vehicle, causing his death.

On December 17, Thu Duc City Police (HCMC) are investigating the death of a man at Phuoc Long ICD port, Truong Tho ward.

Scene of the incident

At around 5:30 p.m., Mr. T. (29 years old, from Long An province) was driving a forklift, transporting containers at Phuoc Long ICD port. Then, while reversing, the vehicle hit Mr. N. (39 years old, from Dong Thap province) - a tractor-trailer driver who was standing checking the vehicle.

As a result, Mr. N. fell down and died on the spot. The scene showed that this was a narrow corner.

Thu Duc City authorities then arrived at the scene to clarify the cause.
