A container truck was completely destroyed by fire after colliding with another vehicle traveling in the same direction on the Van Don - Mong Cai expressway.
On November 15th, representatives from the Quang Ninh Provincial Traffic Safety Committee stated that the traffic accident occurred at approximately 11 PM on November 14th on the Van Don – Mong Cai expressway (the section passing through Tien Yen district).
At that time, a container truck with license plate 15R-166.xx was traveling in the direction of Van Don - Mong Cai when it collided with a truck with license plate 14H011.xx (the identities of the two drivers are unknown).
The powerful collision resulted in one person being injured and taken to the hospital; the container truck's cabin was severely damaged and caught fire, with flames spreading to the goods inside the container.
Immediately after the incident occurred, the authorities on duty on the highway, along with the fire department, extinguished the fire, removed the goods from the container truck, and organized traffic diversion to ensure smooth traffic flow.
Nearly an hour later, the fire was extinguished. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
