(Dan Tri) - Not only has the price increased, Toyota Land Cruiser has upgraded some equipment, but also has features removed.
Recently, Toyota Vietnam's homepage has updated the suggested retail price of Land Cruiser, increasing by 294 million VND to 4.58 billion VND. The Japanese car company has not made an official announcement, but according to the dealer, this price applies to the new batch of cars, arriving in the country at the end of March.

Sales consultants said that the new batch of Land Cruisers will have upgraded equipment, not just a price increase. Specifically, the front/rear doors will have additional indicator lights, the instrument cluster behind the steering wheel will be replaced with a 12.3-inch digital type (previously it was an analog clock combined with a 7-inch screen).
In addition, the Toyota Safety Sense active safety system has been upgraded from version 2.0 to 3.0. At the same time, the car has been added with a warning system, safe exit support, parking brake support with pedestrian detection feature, but the wireless charging feature has been removed.
The information has not been confirmed by Toyota Vietnam, but on the official website, the interior introduction has updated the 12.3-inch digital clock cluster (Screenshot).
In addition, Toyota Vietnam's website also added a version called "M" for the Land Cruiser Prado model, priced at 3.46 billion, 20 million VND cheaper than before. This is the single sunroof variant, which the company revealed would be available in Vietnam in March 2025. The "full" version with panoramic sunroof still retains the price of 3.48 billion VND.
Toyota Land Cruiser and Land Cruiser Prado are two models that are facing "price increases" at dealerships. Of which, Land Cruiser is rarely sold at the suggested price, since being upgraded to a new generation in 2022. At its peak, the car was "overpriced" by 1.6 billion VND.

Similar to its "senior", the Land Cruiser Prado was also sold at a higher price at the dealership after being upgraded to a new generation, but at a more "reasonable" price, around 400-500 million VND depending on the location. Up to now, this car model has "cooled down" but some places still report a difference of 200-300 million VND compared to the listed price.
There are still dealers willing to sell at the right price, but require users to sign a waiting contract and do not set a fixed delivery time, because the number of cars brought to Vietnam is not large.
