On the afternoon of October 19, the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Samsung Vietnam jointly organized the Multilateral Forum (MSF) 2023 with the theme: "Exploiting the power of Vietnam's Business Culture towards Sustainability and Competitiveness in the new era".
In his opening speech, Mr. Pham Tan Cong - Chairman of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) - said that building a business culture is an inevitable requirement in the development of each country and nation. Reality has proven that many countries in the world in the process of development have successfully created and turned business culture into soft power. It contributes significantly to enhancing the image, national position and sustainable development of enterprises.
In the context of strong globalization and integration, the formation and development of business culture in general and corporate culture in particular is an aspect of development to enhance national competitiveness.
"It is the business culture that creates the image, appearance, and unique brand of Vietnamese enterprises. Improving, innovating technology, and improving product quality are necessary and inevitable, but along with that, creating a business culture with Vietnamese identity is also an extremely important trend in the development process" - Mr. Pham Tan Cong emphasized.
According to the Chairman of VCCI, to build a business culture for each country, it is necessary to start with the businesses, first of all the businessmen themselves, the leaders of each business. The businessmen themselves must truly be cultural businessmen, with business ethics, with a global mindset and vision, promoting national spirit, arousing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country. Taking business ethics and culture as the core, upholding the spirit of respect for the law.
Along with that, improving the transparent and favorable business environment is also extremely important, contributing to enhancing national competitiveness, creating the foundation for building and enhancing the competitiveness of each economic sector and each enterprise.
Sharing his views at the forum, Mr. Phan Van Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - emphasized: "As an organization representing and protecting workers in Vietnam, the Vietnam Trade Union always strives and is ready to cooperate with all relevant parties to discuss and identify issues that need improvement, propose effective and appropriate solutions to promote the role of workers, trade unions actively and effectively participate in promoting Vietnamese business culture towards competitiveness and sustainability".
The MSF Multilateral Forum was first held in 2018. Through the Forum, the co-organizers hope to work with government agencies, trade unions, social organizations, businesses and interested individuals to promote meaningful discussions and actions for the sustainable development and prosperity of Vietnam.
The 2023 event will bring together stakeholders to discuss the importance of harnessing the power of Vietnam’s distinctive business culture and strategies to maximize these values in a rapidly changing world.
