Known as “the land of fame, mandarin examinations, and hundreds of professions”, Thuong Tin is a district located in the South of Hanoi Capital, bordering Thanh Tri district to the North, Thanh Oai district to the West, Hung Yen province to the East, and Phu Xuyen district to the South. Promoting the potential of "famous land"
Promoting the above potentials, Thuong Tin district has implemented Program No. ,mnbh yb6gy706 - CTr/TU of the City Party Committee and Plan No. 176/KH - UBND of the City People's Committee in 2022 on "Developing culture, improving the quality of human resources, building elegant and civilized Hanoians" for the period 2021-2025 (Program 06), Resolution No. 09-NQ/TU, dated February 22, 2022 of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on "Developing cultural industry in the capital for the period 2021-2025, orientation to 2030, vision to 2045" (Resolution No. 09) and achieved many results.
After more than 3 years of implementing Program No. 06, more than 2 years of implementing Resolution No. 09, with the attention and direction of the City Party Committee, the City People's Committee, the city's departments, branches and sectors, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee has had many solutions to lead the District People's Committee to effectively implement the "dual task" of both preventing and fighting epidemics, protecting people's health, and resolutely and synchronously implementing solutions to effectively implement Program 06, Resolution No. 09 of the City Party Committee in conjunction with Program No. 04-CTr/HU of the District Party Committee.
Programs, resolutions, and plans on cultural development and cultural industry were implemented synchronously, achieving good results; the Program's implementation targets were on schedule, of which 4 targets were exceeded, 10 targets were met, 1 target was not met, the remaining targets were on schedule, striving to complete and exceed the plan.
Cultural, artistic, decorative and propaganda activities were innovated, promptly serving the political tasks of the City and the district, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere among the people; physical training and sports movements developed widely, the success of the two sports events, the 31st Sea Games in the district and the Sports Congress at all levels, was recognized and highly appreciated by the Central and the City, with 03 athletes from Thuong Tin winning medals at the 31st Sea Games: Pham Hai Yen (Nghiem Xuyen), Nguyen Thi Thanh Nha (Dung Tien) won gold medals in women's football; Hoang Lan Anh (Ninh So) won gold medals in handball.
In addition, the work of preserving and promoting the value of historical and cultural relics has been vigorously implemented, achieving positive results. The work of attracting resources for the development of culture and cultural industry has been well implemented, focusing on implementing a total of 59 projects to restore and embellish historical relics with an estimated budget of 740 billion VND.
At the same time, the district actively participates in building, developing and positioning the brand "Creative City of UNESCO". Paying attention to preserving and promoting the value of traditional craft villages, proposing to recognize artisans of craft villages, encouraging artisans in the district to participate in product design competitions organized by the Central and the City, with many artisans from lacquer, horn comb, wood craft villages... participating regularly and achieving high awards.
Attention is paid to training, fostering, vocational training, job creation for workers (especially workers in craft villages), and improving the quality of human resources. The quality of education and training is maintained and developed, school facilities, teaching and learning equipment are invested in, 71/89 public schools meet national standards, reaching a rate of 79.77%.
The movement to build a cultural life and build elegant and civilized Hanoians has achieved more and more results, and people's awareness has gradually been raised.
Promoting the strength of the political system, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in implementing the movements "All people unite to build a cultural life", "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" has been seriously implemented, thereby discovering new factors and new models in the development of culture and cultural industry.
Cultural, artistic, physical education and sports movements were widely implemented, attracting the participation of a large number of people; many relics and cultural works were preserved, embellished and promoted; village culture was focused on; developing the cultural industry was identified as a key task, creating important changes in awareness and action, creating an exciting atmosphere in people's lives, and receiving the people's support.
In addition, the maintenance and restoration of traditional folk arts and valuable traditional festival performances are emphasized, and a typical club is established: Hat Trong Quan in Khanh Ha commune. Learning and exchanging experiences with localities in the country and countries with developed cultural industries are also of interest.

Promote the building of elegant and civilized Thuong Tin people
In the coming time, Thuong Tin district will continue to well implement the goals, targets and tasks of Program 06-CTr/TU, Program 04-CTr/HU, Plan 259/KH-UBND district on "Implementing Program 04-CTr/HU of Thuong Tin district Party Committee on socio-cultural development on the basis of traditional culture; continue to promote the building of elegant and civilized Thuong Tin people; improve the quality of human resources of the district in the period of 2021-2025".
Continue to promote the effective implementation of Projects, plans, tasks and solutions in each field of Program 06-CTr/TU dated March 17, 2021 on "Developing culture, improving the quality of human resources, building elegant and civilized Hanoians in the period of 2021 - 2025" associated with the implementation of Program No. 04-CTr/HU dated August 22, 2020 of the District Party Executive Committee on "Developing social culture on the basis of traditional culture; continue to promote the building of elegant and civilized Thuong Tin people, improving the quality of human resources in the district in the period of 2020-2025"; strive to complete the concretized targets of the Program. In which, the focus is on:
Firstly, continue to lead, direct and well implement the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels, the Resolution of the 17th Congress of the City Party Committee, the Resolution of the 24th Congress of the District Party Committee and Program 06-CTr/TU in conjunction with implementing solutions to develop the capital's cultural industry according to Resolution 09-NQ/TU to implement solutions to develop the cultural industry in the period of 2021 - 2025 in the right direction; in which, focus on promoting the implementation of the Project "Renovating, embellishing and promoting the values of historical and cultural relics, traditional festivals in Thuong Tin district in the period of 2021 - 2025"; mobilize all resources to preserve and promote the values of relics, history, revolution, intangible and tangible cultural values. Focus resources on investing in infrastructure and grassroots cultural institutions, completing model new rural criteria with 3 communes and 9 advanced new rural communes of advanced new rural communes and districts by 2025.
Second, do a good job in tourism development, promote the potential advantages in developing cultural industry, that is: cultural tourism with historical relics, cultural works; eco-tourism, rural agricultural tourism with traditional craft villages of the district. Regularly innovate and organize well decoration and propaganda activities on media from the district to the grassroots, on cyberspace, in an increasingly civilized, modern and aesthetic direction, contributing to improving the general landscape of the district and the capital, welcoming anniversaries and political events of the capital and the country.
