Verifying the parent's complaint that the kindergarten teacher beat the student

On the afternoon of October 15, news from the People's Committee of Chau Phu District, An Giang Province said that Mr. Phan Van Van, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, has just requested the Department of Education and Training of this district to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Internal Affairs and the People's Committee of Binh Chanh Commune to clearly verify the complaint of a parent about a teacher of Binh Chanh Kindergarten beating a child in the classroom to take measures to handle if there is a violation.

Previously, on September 30, Mr. THP (36 years old, residing in Binh Thanh Hamlet, Binh Chanh Commune, Chau Phu District) sent a petition to the District Education and Training Department, Binh Chanh Commune People's Committee and the Board of Directors of Binh Chanh Kindergarten, accusing Ms. PTNH (teacher of the school) of beating TNNK (5 years old, son of Mr. P.) while he was at school. Mr. THP requested the school leaders and authorities to review and extract the camera to clarify the cause and handle it according to the provisions of the law.

In the complaint, Mr. THP stated that on September 23, his daughter refused to go to school. When asked many times, his daughter said that she was beaten by her teacher and that she was told not to tell her parents.

Regarding the incident, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Dam, Principal of Binh Chanh Kindergarten, sent a report to the Department of Education and Training of Chau Phu District about the handling of Mr. THP's complaint.

Accordingly, the school established a team to verify the incident and met with the parents to confirm the content stated in the petition. The school's Board of Directors held a meeting and invited teacher PTNH to discuss. During the discussion, teacher PTNH explained that: During the daily activities, TNNK was not cooperative, often running around playing with friends. During the poetry class, TNNK did not recite, so the teacher used her hand to hit him. Teacher H. said that only using her hand to hit him was not considered abuse.

The verification team of Binh Chanh Kindergarten reviewed the classroom camera and found that Ms. PTNH had beaten TNNK on September 23 as stated in the parent's petition. In addition, the verification team also recorded Ms. PTNH beating many other children in the class on September 23, 24, and 26, mainly using sticks and hands to hit the children's heads and faces.
