Setting a Vietnamese record with a folk dance performance in Ao Dai by women in the capital

On the morning of October 20, more than 70,000 women in the capital from 579 communes, wards and towns performed folk dances in Ao Dai, together creating a Vietnamese record. The activity took place on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the capital and the 94th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Women's Union. Speaking at the opening ceremony at Thanh Xuan Park (Thanh Xuan District), Chairwoman of the Hanoi Women's Union Le Kim Anh said that the performance was organized with the hope of strongly inspiring all people, continuing to promote the folk dance movement to become a regular activity in the community, contributing to enriching the cultural and spiritual life of women and people in the capital. Ms. Le Kim Anh shared that the mass sports and folk dance movement among cadres and women members in the capital has developed strongly in recent times. The program aims to build women in the capital who are comprehensively developed, knowledgeable, moral, healthy, responsible for themselves, their families, society and the country. From Thanh Xuan Park and communes, wards and towns across the city, folk dance performances were held to the music of 3 songs: "Hanoi People - Marching to Hanoi - Hanoi's constructions." With both energetic and joyful movements, the program is a very meaningful activity, expressing love and pride for the capital with a thousand years of heroic culture; affirming the spirit of solidarity, beauty and strength of women in the capital; a message of love for peace, aspiration to rise up, contributing to building a civilized, modern and civilized capital, building the women's movement and the organization of the Association increasingly strong. (Photo: Nguyen Cuc/VNA) At the program, after the folk dance performance, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Ngoc, Deputy General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Record Holders Association, General Secretary of the Vietnam Record Organization - VietKings announced the decision to establish a Vietnamese Record for the Hanoi Women's Union for "The folk dance performance program with Ao Dai in communes, wards and towns in Hanoi has the largest number of women participating in the performance in Vietnam." This record was announced on mass media, on media channels of the Vietnam Record system, recorded in annual Record publications and announced to the community of Record Holders nationwide. The Vietnam Record Holders Association also requested the Hanoi Women's Union to promote the image of Vietnam Record domestically and internationally.
