Specifically, in the economic field, although 2024 has not ended, Quang Ngai has achieved and exceeded 25/25 targets compared to the set plan, of which 9 targets exceeded the plan.
The economy continued to grow, the growth rate of local product (GRDP) reached 4.07%, exceeding the set plan; the industrial, construction and service sectors continued to play a leading role, accounting for a large proportion in the GRDP structure; GRDP per capita was estimated at 4,460 USD/person.
Industrial production value is estimated at 157,521 billion VND, up 2.6%, exceeding the plan by 15.3%. Of which, industrial production value other than petrochemical products is estimated at 105,297 billion VND, up 8.5%, exceeding the plan by 14%.
Despite difficulties, Quang Ngai's economy still maintains stable development, completing and exceeding 25/25 targets.
Some important products achieved and exceeded the plan: Petrochemical refining exceeded 18.1%; steel reached 100%; beer of all kinds reached 100%; mineral water reached 100%, garment products reached 100%...
The value of agricultural, forestry and fishery production in 2024 is estimated at VND 19,597 billion, up 3.8%, exceeding the plan by 0.8%; the forest coverage rate is estimated at 52%, achieving the annual plan; the aquatic product output is estimated at 289,210 tons, up 2.2% compared to 2023, exceeding the annual plan by 4.8%.
The leadership and direction of the fight against illegal fishing has been implemented resolutely, basically controlling and preventing fishing vessels and fishermen from Quang Ngai from violating. Ship owners and fishermen have raised awareness and responsibility in fighting against IUU fishing.

Dung Quat Economic Zone, the heart of Quang Ngai economy, continues to be invested in and promoted for development. Up to now, 4 projects have been completed and the remaining 5 projects are being implemented in accordance with the general planning of Dung Quat Economic Zone.
