On July 30, according to the Dong Nai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, there are currently 3 key traffic projects in the locality that must be completed by the end of 2024. However, due to site clearance and other difficulties, these projects are unlikely to be completed on time and must be adjusted.
These three traffic projects include Bien Hoa city center axis road, Huong Lo 2 and Vam Cai Sut bridge.

According to the reporter of Giao thong Newspaper, up to now, the project of Bien Hoa city center road with Thong Nhat bridge, many packages are behind schedule, the main reason is due to land clearance problems. The value of contract implementation up to now has reached about 24%.
In package 7, workers are still focusing on constructing precast trenches, manufacturing cast iron covers, and water intake gates. They are trying to work with the local authorities to soon start construction of the first section of the route. Similarly, package 9 has filled the roadbed, built drainage culverts, filled sand to treat weak soil, and used crushed stone and crushed stone as foundations.

According to the Project Management Board, the reason for the slow progress of the packages is that the locality has only handed over the land to 120/380 households, and the land is not contiguous. Therefore, up to now, only more than 31% of the capital plan has been disbursed.

Similarly, the Huong Lo 2 project was originally scheduled to be completed by the end of 2022. However, due to site clearance problems and increased materials, the project was extended to April 2023, then extended again to the end of 2023, and now at the end of 2024, all items will be completed and procedures will be completed, and handover will be in the first quarter of 2025.
According to the contractors, the unit mobilized all machinery and personnel for construction, but due to the locality's delay in handing over the site, many construction items were delayed and are currently waiting for subsidence, unable to be accepted.
As for the Vam Cai Sut bridge on the route, the main works have been basically completed, and are expected to end by the end of December 2024 pending subsidence. However, due to the need to complete the acceptance work, the handover is likely to be in the first quarter of 2025.
The Dong Nai Province Investment and Construction Project Management Board said the main reason why the projects are nearing the end of their implementation period but have not yet been completed is due to land issues. Thus, all three projects will be difficult to complete in 2024 as scheduled, especially the central axis road of Bien Hoa city.

According to Mr. Ngo The An, Director of the Dong Nai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, all three projects are scheduled to be completed in 2020-2024. Therefore, if these projects are not completed in 2024, the project must be adjusted and the implementation period extended, resulting in a longer construction period. Land acquisition issues affect the construction of contractors, causing many units to face the risk of fluctuations in construction material prices.
The Project Management Board also recommended that the Bien Hoa City People's Committee thoroughly resolve related problems so that contractors can quickly implement the projects.
