Buon Tri, Krong Na commune was established in 1977, the whole village currently has 350 households, 1,218 people, with 12 ethnic groups living together. This is a famous land for hunting and taming wild elephants in Dak Lak province as well as the Central Highlands.

Buon Tri is located near Buon Don Tourist Center and branded tourist areas and spots, and has many historical, cultural and beautiful landscapes such as the hundred-year-old stilt house, the tomb of the elephant hunting king Khunjunob, Buon Don suspension bridge; Yok Don National Park ecosystem, the banyan tree field in the middle of the Serepok River...

Therefore, Tri village has many potentials and advantages to develop community tourism.

Vice Chairman of Buon Don District People's Committee Y Si That Ksor happily said that the announcement of community tourism for Tri village, Krong Na commune is one of the goals of diversifying tourism types in the district. This is the first community tourism village in the district.

To improve the effectiveness of community tourism in a sustainable manner, the tourism industry needs to focus on developing in a quality, focused, and in-depth manner. At the same time, focus on exploiting the existing typical products of the locality, especially the traditional cultural values ​​of indigenous peoples to build a prominent brand.

Previously, on March 3, 2023, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province held a ceremony to announce the Akŏ Dhông community tourism village, Tan Loi ward, Buon Ma Thuot city, the first community tourism village in Dak Lak province.
