It's interesting to know that there are couples who choose to count flower petals or flip coins to decide whether to "go on a big trip" or celebrate April 30 and May 1 at home.

On the 30-4 and 1-5 holidays, the couple camped in the apartment building.

The apartment of less than 49 square meters of the young couple Ngoc Han (31 years old) and Huu Dat (34 years old) in District 8, Ho Chi Minh City has been very unusual for the past two days. The small, pretty wooden table and chairs that are usually in the living room have been pushed aside to make room for a tent. They are camping right in the apartment, in the middle of the city, on a towering concrete building.

Before the half-month holiday, the couple had a "big argument" because she wanted to go to foggy Da Lat, while he wanted to go to Nha Trang to swim and eat seafood. Giving in to his wife, Dat also agreed to go to Da Lat.

"Suddenly she changed her mind, said it was too sunny, let's stay home, camp and cook at home. If she nodded, the house would be in ruins," Mr. Dat said with a laugh.

Early in the morning, the two of them went out to the balcony to sunbathe, watch the blue clouds, and then "chill" with a cup of homemade ground coffee. When the sun was too hot, the two of them cleaned the bathroom, filled the baby pool with air and water, and turned it into a delicious swimming pool.

From planning to cook one dish for each meal, Ms. Han changed to ordering one dish for each meal. At noon, they cuddled up to sleep, and at night, they watched movies together, sipping some beer under the air conditioning, just like... Da Lat in the fog.

"Of course, it's not as fun as real people and real events. However, the weather is too hot and traveling during the holidays is extremely difficult, so we chose to stay home. It's also fun," Han laughed.

Countryside food tour

Terrified by the time he got stuck on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet highway during the last Tet holiday, Ngoc Huy's family (living in Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh City) decided to stay home this holiday.

But to come to the decision to celebrate the holiday at home, he had to do something that he dared to do for the first time: "Talk back to his wife". Before the holiday, Huy's wife planned for the whole family to drive a car on a tour of the Central provinces.

When he had planned everything, he remembered the scene of a convoy of cars slowly crawling on the highways and national highways and shivered. Therefore, he "turned against" his wife's wishes, wanting to stay home for a relaxing holiday. It was not easy to convince his wife. The condition was that he "had to cook everything she asked for".

It was a bit of a mistake, but Huy had already promised so he had to try. The dishes she offered were not very Western, all local flavors like snakehead fish noodle soup, banh loc, bun bo Hue, banh uot thit heo... specialties of the Central region, which is also her hometown.

With no cooking experience, he cooks almost every dish according to "YouTube recipes", if it's salty or sweet, he "seasons it according to the ancestors' advice", if it's too salty, he adds sugar or water, if it's too sweet, he adds salt...

"Eating well is fun, but the most enjoyable thing is learning to cook by yourself, it's not easy. There were times when I had to call my wife to put out the fire after cooking, but it didn't work," Huy shared with a laugh.

Both couples admitted that if they had enough time, favorable conditions, means, especially cooler weather, they would still choose to travel and relax somewhere other than home.

However, after two days of staying at home, what they received in return was also extremely valuable. Being close to each other, taking care of each other's every meal and sleep was something that was rarely possible on a daily basis, if at all.

The fun is when they get to experience new things together, especially the unexpected ones, like canceling long-planned plans to camp in the apartment, cooking together... More than anything, they were happy!

Nghỉ 5 ngày lễ, bạn trẻ rủ nhau tạo đủ kiểu trend vui vẻ 5-day holiday, young people invite each other to create all kinds of fun trends

Before the April 30 and May 1 holidays, many young people, afraid of having to jostle in crowded places, invited each other to 'turn off the alarm and sleep for 5 days and 5 nights'. Some fun trends emerged such as inviting each other to meet deadlines during the holidays, going for healing, and the challenge of 'going home for 5 days without being scolded by mom'...
