Meritorious Artist Quynh Trang - Director of the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater shared that in recent days, storm No. 3 (storm Yagi) has caused severe damage to both people and property in the northern provinces and cities. Implementing the direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, theaters under the Ministry organized art programs to raise funds and support people in the northern provinces and cities that suffered heavy damage due to storms and floods... The Contemporary Arts Theater organized the music night "Hanoi - The Years...", allocating a portion of ticket sales revenue to support people in localities that suffered heavy damage after storm No. 3.

The music night "Hanoi - The Years..." will bring the audience back to the heroic historical imprints and romantic beauty of the thousand-year-old capital, a musical journey full of emotions, from the heroic melodies of the resistance period to the sweet songs praising the timeless beauty of the capital.

There, the profound melodies that have captivated music lovers, Hanoi lovers, Hanoi Autumn lovers will be sent to the audience through famous voices such as: People's Artist Thanh Lam, People's Artist Mai Hoa, Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan, singers Anh Tho, Viet Danh, Thanh Thao, An Thu An, Hue Thuong, Trung Sy, Phuc Dai, Phuong Nam group, Thoi Gian group and Huyen Trung band...

The show is divided into 3 chapters: "Hanoi - Those Days", "Hanoi - Heroic Moments" and "Hanoi Today". Accordingly, Hanoians are always a symbol of elegance, gallantry, grace and sophistication naturally expressed in daily life. That is why in the early days of modern Vietnamese music from the 1930s, Hanoians have always been an endless inspiration for famous musicians such as Duong Trieu Tuoc, Doan Chuan - Tu Linh, Van Cao, Hoang Giac, Nguyen Van Thuong... with immortal musical pieces: "Cung zither of the past", "Mo hoa", "Gui gio cho may ngan bay", "Biet ly", "Dem dong"... have portrayed the gallant, graceful and refined temperament of Hanoians. These romantic works will be performed in the first chapter of the music night.

Many historical changes took place after that, starting in 1945, when, under the leadership of the Party, the people of the whole country rose up to carry out the successful August Revolution, establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam). In the historical revolution of that autumn, the uprising to seize power in Hanoi had a decisive significance, promoting the victory of the general uprising nationwide. After the ups and downs of history, Hanoi returns to its inherent peaceful beauty, Hanoi - the capital of conscience and human dignity - where the noble and typical values ​​of the nation with revolutionary traditions, patriotism and the strength of national solidarity converge, crystallize and shine. National pride and pride in the capital with a thousand years of culture and heroism; the outstanding achievements of the capital after 70 years of liberation, especially after nearly 40 years of implementing the country's renovation policy will be vividly expressed in many songs in chapter 3 such as: "Autumn in Hanoi", "A Glimpse of West Lake", "Autumn in Hanoi in You", "A Pink Heart in Hanoi", "A Windy Night in Hanoi", "Forever My Childhood in Hanoi"...

Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan and other artists will perform many songs praising Hanoi.

Among the songs written about Hanoi, "Towards Hanoi" is considered to be the most lyrical song. The lyrics, melody and images in the song exude the unique beauty of the people of Trang An. This song was written by musician Hoang Duong in one night while being evacuated to the suburbs. He wrote the song in late 1953 and early 1954, when Hanoi had not yet been liberated.

Over the years, the song has always captivated Hanoians and visitors from afar when they set foot on this land. The song has been performed by many singers. Singing "Towards Hanoi" in the upcoming music night, People's Artist Thanh Lam shared: "As a child born in the land of a thousand years of culture, every time I stand on stage and sing this song, I always try to convey my emotions to the audience. I want everyone to feel the soul of Hanoi, the beauty of Hanoi through music".
