The principal of Van Phong Secondary School (Dien Chau district, Nghe An) informed that after the scuffle at school, Ms. Ng. continued to ask for leave for health reasons.
Regarding the incident where Ms. Nguyen Thi Ng. (45 years old, History teacher) and Mr. Pham Van N. (Informatics teacher) at Van Phong Secondary School (Dien Chau, Nghe An) had a fight , this morning (October 28), talking to VietNamNet reporter, Mr. Giao Quoc Thang, Principal of Van Phong Secondary School said that yesterday, the police worked with Ms. Ng.
“Because Ms. Ng. had taken sick leave the previous days, the police were only able to work with Ms. Ng. yesterday afternoon. According to the procedure, after Ms. Ng. makes a report, the school will meet with each person separately, ask both teachers to write a self-criticism and hold a council meeting to organize the self-criticism,” said Mr. Thang.
According to Mr. Thang, the school has received a report from Mr. N., but Ms. Ng. is on leave from teaching so she has not yet received one.
“Teacher N. reported that Ms. Ng. hit Mr. N. first, and then the two got into a fight. While Ms. Ng. was in the hospital, the school visited and encouraged her. According to her family, Ms. Ng. had soft tissue pain, a swollen face, and bruises on her legs. This morning, Ms. Ng. reported that she was tired, so she asked for another day off,” Mr. Thang added.
Previously, as VietNamNet reported, on the morning of October 19, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ng. and Mr. Pham Van N. had a fight. Afterwards, Ms. Ng. went to Nghe An General Hospital 115 for examination and treatment. Mr. N. also complained of pain in some parts of his body. After the incident, both teachers filed a complaint with the police.
Mr. Mai Ngoc Long, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Dien Chau district said: "The working group of the Department of Education, including 1 deputy head and 3 specialists, went to the school to work. The Department of Education and Training will review the situation and, if necessary, will temporarily suspend 2 teachers to organize a review."
A spokesperson for the Nghe An Province Department of Education and Training added: "We have directed the Department of Education and Training to establish a working group to go to the school to verify the cause. After the teacher is discharged from the hospital and her health is stable, the department will hold a council meeting. If it is determined that there is a violation of teacher ethics, a meeting must be held to review the two teachers who were involved in the scuffle at school."
