Specifically, during the transfer, the husband, Mr. CHH (44 years old), had difficulty breathing and respiratory failure, and was intubated and given a balloon pump. However, the patient died at the Emergency Department of Cho Ray Hospital.

The wife, Ms. Kh.THT (44 years old) and daughter CTNQ (17 years old) were transferred to the Tropical Diseases Department in a state of acute liver failure, very high liver enzymes and blood clotting disorder.

After two days of treatment, the daughter's health improved but liver function and blood clotting disorders had to be monitored further; the wife was still in critical condition, with worsening liver dysfunction and was receiving intensive treatment and dialysis but was at risk of becoming more severe, with a poor prognosis.

Previously, on June 7, SGGP Newspaper reported that 3 cases of food poisoning due to eating wild mushrooms (unknown species) occurred in Tan Binh commune, Tan Bien district, Tay Ninh province. All 3 people had symptoms of vomiting so they bought medicine to take but it did not improve and were taken by relatives to Tay Ninh General Hospital for emergency treatment, then transferred to Cho Ray Hospital.

The SGGP newspaper on June 6 also had an article warning about "The hidden danger of toxins from natural mushrooms", reflecting that many people have confused edible natural mushrooms with those containing dangerous toxins, leading to many very serious poisoning cases.
