VPF's 2024 business performance report shows stable financial resources. The expected revenue figure for 2024 is recorded to be 113.8% higher than that of 2023 and about 117.7% higher than the expected revenue plan for 2025.
Financial support for clubs continues to record positive marks. In addition to fixed advertising expenses as every year, clubs are shared television copyright money based on the league's ranking along with other support. The total financial support cost for 25 clubs in the 2023-2024 season is nearly 32 billion VND, an increase of 23% compared to the support level in the 2023 season. In particular, the television copyright sharing money in the 2023-2024 season alone increased by 24.8% compared to the previous season.
VPF's expected revenue in 2024 is more than 113%
In addition, in 2024, VPF plans to provide additional support of VND14 billion to clubs to have a budget for repairing, maintaining and upgrading facilities. This is considered a highly practical expenditure in the effort to build the tournament's image and upgrade the tournament's organization conditions.
In addition, VPF has approved a support payment of VND300 million for 3 clubs representing Vietnam in international tournaments, as well as assigning personnel to coordinate the organization of international matches. For each club that passes the group stage, VPF continues to pay a bonus of VND300 million and VND200 million for each time they pass the knockout round to encourage the clubs. It is expected that the total payment could reach VND3.9 billion depending on the competition results of the clubs.
Speaking at the opening of the congress, VPF Chairman Tran Anh Tu affirmed that 2024 is a year with many historical marks for national professional football tournaments. Aiming at the 25-year milestone of Vietnamese professional football, VPF has been and is continuing to make continuous efforts through specific actions to affirm the mature development of professional tournaments in general over the past 25 years.

Premises for further development in 2025
Financial records in 2024 continue to be the premise for VPF to carry out long-term plans in development orientation, thereby gradually improving the quality of professional football tournaments.
In terms of tournament organization, after officially receiving 2 VAR vehicles from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) in a FIFA sponsorship project. In the 2024 - 2025 season, VPF has planned to effectively utilize the VAR vehicles, making efforts to have as many matches as possible each round using VAR technology. If in the 2023 - 2024 season, on average, only about 2-3 matches/round applied VAR, in the 2024 - 2025 season, after 9 rounds, there were 5 rounds where VAR was fully applied in all matches each round. The application of VAR technology has received many positive and supportive comments as it helps make the tournament fairer and helps reduce errors in refereeing.
In 2024, VPF will continue to focus on communication, television, and enhancing the image of the tournament. The introduction film about LPBank V-League 2024 - 2025 has made an impression and created a strong attraction when integrating local identity along with the colors of the football teams, evoking national pride and love for traditional cultural values of Vietnam. Television work at tournaments continues to be guaranteed with 100% of matches being broadcast live and broadcast on many platforms, easily accessible to audiences nationwide. The quality of television broadcasting has been significantly improved with viewership figures increasing every year.
National professional football leagues are expected to make further progress in 2025.
The 2024 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of VPF approved important documents: Report on the activities of the Board of Directors in 2024 and the operation plan for 2025; Report on expected results of activities in 2024 and the task plan for 2025; Report on the activities of the Board of Supervisors in 2023 and two reports: Report on approval of the audited financial statements for 2023; Report on the selection of an audit unit for the financial statements for 2024.
The congress also determined the direction and key tasks in 2025 to ensure the success of the 2024-2025 national professional football tournaments and to carry out preparations and organization for the 2025-2026 season. In addition, VPF also coordinated its business plans with partner FPT Play in exploiting television copyrights and commercializing tournaments, striving to increase financial sources for the company, creating a stable source of funding for the company's operations in general.
