On the morning of September 17, Associate Professor, Dr. Tang Chi Thuong - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health and his delegation went to the VNVC Vaccination Center in District 8 (Pham The Hien Street, Ward 6, District 8, Ho Chi Minh City) to inspect the vaccination work in the measles vaccination campaign.

VNVC District 8 is one of 39 VNVC vaccination centers across the city participating in the measles vaccination campaign for children aged 1-10 years old taking place from September 16.
Associate Professor, Dr. Tang Chi Thuong highly appreciated VNVC's experience in implementing safe vaccination for many years and its quality vaccination service. He assessed that VNVC's active support would contribute to promoting the city's measles vaccination campaign to be successful.
According to Mr. Thuong, VNVC has modern, clean and spacious facilities; especially the safe vaccination process complies with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health. VNVC has a good screening and post-vaccination emergency treatment process, people can go to centers like VNVC for safe vaccination, increasing the effectiveness of the campaign.
According to Dr. Bach Thi Chinh, Medical Director of the VNVC vaccination system, on the first day of VNVC's measles vaccination campaign in Ho Chi Minh City, nearly 200 children were vaccinated with MRVAC measles vaccine for free (mainly in outlying districts such as District 12, Binh Tan, Hoc Mon, Binh Chanh, Cu Chi...).
VNVC has invested heavily in a system of four general warehouses, nearly 200 cold storage warehouses for preserving vaccines that meet GSP standards according to international standards, and strict quality control and monitoring systems.
Previously, from the beginning of September 2024 to now, 39 VNVC vaccination centers in Ho Chi Minh City have injected more than 30 thousand doses of measles-containing vaccine for children under 10 years old. This is a very meaningful number contributing to Ho Chi Minh City's campaign to control and repel the measles epidemic this year.
In addition to free measles vaccination, parents also give their children other important vaccines such as flu vaccine, meningitis vaccine, chickenpox vaccine, pneumococcal vaccine, hepatitis AB vaccine, etc.
VNVC still applies "inject first, pay later" support, interest-free installment payments up to 12 months.
Many parents happily brought their children to get free measles vaccinations at VNVC.
Taking her 3-year-old son Tran Duy Minh to get a free measles vaccine, Ms. Thanh Thanh (District 12, Ho Chi Minh City) said that when she heard that VNVC was offering free measles vaccines, she decided to register for a booster shot for her son right away. She said that her son had previously received a measles shot at a health station when he was young, but then the family forgot about his vaccination schedule.
"My child was vaccinated for free but still received attentive service like a regular customer of VNVC. He was very afraid of vaccinations, but this time the nurses comforted him very well so he didn't cry at all. Getting vaccinated at VNVC, I not only felt secure but also very satisfied," Ms. Thanh Thanh shared.
With many years of experience in vaccination from a leading reputable vaccination system, VNVC is the main service unit with Ho Chi Minh City to provide free measles vaccination for children from 1 to 10 years old to accelerate vaccination coverage and shorten the outbreak period.
VNVC has the advantage of a system of cold storage, cold chain, professional vaccine transport refrigerated trucks and nearly 2,000 doctors, nurses, and staff from 39 VNVC centers in Ho Chi Minh City participating in the campaign and paying special attention to ensuring safe and highly effective vaccination against measles in addition to meeting the target of vaccine coverage.
VNVC dispatches GSP-standard refrigerated trucks, likened to "mobile cold storage", to receive vaccines from medical centers in Ho Chi Minh City to bring them to specialized cold storage facilities of VNVC vaccination centers.
In addition to providing free measles vaccination, the VNVC system currently has nearly 200 vaccination centers nationwide and 39 centers in Ho Chi Minh City with full range of measles vaccines as well as other dangerous diseases for children and adults.
VNVC also has a combination vaccine for measles, mumps, and rubella, including Priorix (Belgium) and MMR II (USA), which increases the effectiveness of preventing many diseases in one injection and saves costs, reducing the number of vaccinations. These vaccines can be given to children from 9 months of age and adults.
VNVC's refrigerated trucks are equipped with backup generators, always ensuring that vaccines are transported and stored in standard conditions.
Doctor Chinh said that in addition to supporting the measles vaccination campaign, VNVC also strives to provide all types of vaccines in the context of complicated epidemic developments, frequent rains and floods from now until the end of the year, causing many diseases to be at risk of outbreak such as flu, chickenpox, diphtheria, whooping cough, tetanus, etc.
VNVC is applying many preferential price policies to help people prevent diseases in time, especially poor families and children in special circumstances. VNVC is also a pioneer vaccination unit supporting pre-vaccination packages, paying later for up to 12 months. All interest rates are supported by VNVC, helping people pay flexibly, reducing economic burden.
