The index representing the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange increased slightly by 0.14 points in the session on November 28, to 1,242.11 points on the lowest liquidity in nearly a month.

Before entering today's trading session, some experts said that the market in the coming sessions will continue to recover with slow movements in the short term. Cash flow is expected to increase more strongly after the accumulation period, with the momentum from the season of announcing market outlook reports at the end of the year.

Reality has partly proven the above comments when VN-Index opened in green. In the mid-afternoon session, the index reversed below the reference but quickly regained momentum thanks to cash flow disbursed at low prices. VN-Index closed the session on November 28 at 1,242.11 points, up 0.14 points compared to yesterday's session.

The index increased but investors' cautious sentiment caused market liquidity to be at its lowest level in nearly a month. Specifically, the matched volume reached more than 477 million shares, an increase of 48 million units compared to the previous session, but the transaction value decreased by VND211 billion compared to yesterday's session, recording VND11,145 billion.

FPT led in order matching value with more than 660 billion VND (equivalent to 4.7 million shares), far surpassing the following codes: HPG with more than 375 billion VND (equivalent to 14.1 million shares), STB with approximately 283 billion VND (equivalent to 8.5 million shares) and VHM with more than 270 billion VND (equivalent to 6.5 million shares).

The HoSE floor breadth was relatively balanced with 193 stocks closing above the reference, while the number of stocks decreasing was 181. The large-cap basket fell into a state of "green on the outside, red on the inside" when the general index increased by 0.46 points to 1,301.52 points, but only 12 stocks closed in the green, while 15 stocks decreased.

CTG accumulated 0.71% compared to the reference, up to 35,400 VND and became the main driving force for the market. The remaining codes in the banking group on the above list include VIB up 2.16% to 18,900 VND, TCB up 0.43% to 23,600 VND, ACB up 0.4% to 25,150 VND and HDB up 0.6% to 25,300 VND.

FPT shares contributed significantly to today's increase. Specifically, FPT increased 0.36% to VND139,400, while FRT increased 1.9% to VND176,900.

The steel group recorded exciting trading when most of them closed above the reference. The three pillars of this group, TLH, HSG and HPG, increased by 2.3% to VND4,400, 0.5% to VND19,000 and 0.4% to VND26,400, respectively.

Not only leading the decline in the real estate group, VHM was also the main factor holding back the market's growth when it lost 1.91% to VND41,100 and took away nearly 0.8 points from the VN-Index. Pillar stocks in the food group were also on the list of negative impacts. Specifically, SAB lost 1.07% to VND55,500 and MSN lost 0.41% to VND72,400.

Foreign investors today were net sellers in volume but net buyers in transaction value. Specifically, this group disbursed nearly VND1,169 billion to buy 29.5 million shares, while selling more than 36 million shares, equivalent to VND1,120 billion. The net purchase value was therefore more than VND48 billion.

In agreement with domestic investors, foreign investors strongly bought FPT with a net value of more than VND228 billion. MSN ranked next in terms of attracting foreign cash flow when the net purchase value of this stock was more than VND77 billion. Meanwhile, foreign investors strongly sold SSI shares with a net value of nearly VND71 billion, HDB nearly VND68 billion and VCB more than VND60 billion.
