The Ministry of Education and Training and Vingroup have launched two programs, Green Education and Green Sports, to promote environmental protection activities for students.
The program lasts for 5 years, from 2023 to 2028. Both parties aim to contribute to raising awareness from the "green sprout" generation, urging each young individual to take action; at the same time, inspiring and actively building a green transformation lifestyle for the community. Through this, the Ministry of Education and Training and Vingroup call on everyone to join hands to protect the environment, contribute to Vietnam's Net Zero goal and fight climate change globally.
After signing, the Ministry of Education and Training will coordinate with the Green Future Fund (Thien Tam Fund - Vingroup Corporation) to deploy a series of activities at educational and training institutions across the country. The Fund will develop ideas, programs, action plans, operations, and implementation for each project, and at the same time, take the lead in supporting and sponsoring to ensure funding and human resources for the entire content and activities of the program.

The Green Education program includes four main projects: Green Voice, Sending a Green Future 2050, Green School and Building a Green School with You. The projects will start in October at educational institutions from primary to university levels nationwide.
The first project of the Green Education Program is the "Green Voice" debate competition for primary, secondary, high school and university levels. This is a playground for students to develop and perfect their public speaking and debating skills; enhance their knowledge and promote green thinking. Winning groups will have the opportunity to receive training and financial support to realize their green building ideas.
The second project is a creative competition for primary and secondary school students with the theme "To the Green Future 2050". Contestants can participate in the form of writing letters, drawing pictures or creating videos. The organizers encourage them to build beautiful dreams for themselves and humanity, practice good living habits every day to realize the dream of a green future.
In addition, two projects "Green School" and "Building a Green School with Me" are expected to be implemented in schools to create a green learning and living environment, promoting environmental awareness.

The Green Sports Program is organized at educational institutions nationwide through two main activities: Training to improve capacity for Green Sports development and Organizing Green Sports competitions.
"Training to improve capacity for developing Green Sports" aims to develop documents, support basic sports equipment and improve capacity for managers, lecturers and teachers of Physical Education. The organizing committee will include green actions in the content of the sports competition with the criteria of green sports for the environment.
At the signing ceremony, Ms. Ngo Thi Minh - Deputy Minister of Education and Training said that this cooperation is one of the programs with humanistic values, demonstrating the social responsibility and interest of Vingroup in building a healthy, dynamic and healthy young generation of Vietnam; at the same time, contributing to the successful implementation of the green growth task according to the National Strategy on Green Growth for the period 2021-2030, vision 2050 of the Government.

Ms. Le Mai Lan - Vice President of Vingroup and President of VinUni University also shared that students are the most important factor in promoting the greening of schools and skies, helping Vietnam soon achieve the Net Zero goal - reducing net emissions to 0.
"From small actions, healthy living habits, green awareness and green sports created for children today, we will have healthy owners of the country in terms of intelligence, physical strength and morality in the future," she emphasized.

Previously, on August 19, the Green Future Fund announced 10 key action programs nationwide, including: Green Education, Green Environment, Green Mobility, Green Energy, Green Consumption, Green Tourism, Green Healthcare, Green Sports, Green Offices and Green Cities.
