Viglacera invests nearly 2,200 billion VND in industrial park in Yen Bai

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just signed a decision to let Viglacera be the investor of Tran Yen Industrial Park (Phase I), Yen Bai province.

This industrial park is located in Bao Hung and Minh Quan communes, Tran Yen district, Yen Bai province with a scale of 254.59 hectares. The project has a total investment capital of about 2,184 billion VND. The location of this industrial park is not far from the IC 12 intersection of Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway. According to the decision, Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee is responsible for the content previously approved or resolved related to the withdrawal of the investment policy decision of Edge Glass Joint Stock Company, ensuring that no complaints occur. The implementation of phase II of Tran Yen industrial park (84.41 hectares) must comply with the conditions for attracting investment and effective land use. Currently, Yen Bai has three industrial parks that have been included in the national industrial park system, including the Southern industrial park (400 hectares), Minh Quan industrial park (112 hectares) and Au Lac industrial park (120 hectares). As for Viglacera, by the end of last year, this enterprise owned a land fund of nearly 850 hectares to develop industrial parks. According to this year's plan, Viglacera will focus on leasing land in industrial parks such as Yen My, Phong Dien, Thuan Thanh, Tien Hai, Yen Phong 2C, Dong Mai, Yen Phong expansion, and Dong Van IV. At the same time, this corporation also wants to establish new legal entities and branches to deploy a series of industrial parks in Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Hung Yen, and Khanh Hoa. However, in the first 9 months of this year, Viglacera's consolidated profit only reached more than 640 billion VND, down nearly half compared to the same period in 2023. According to this unit's explanation, the reason is that the revenue from leasing industrial park infrastructure in the third quarter of the parent company decreased.
