ViewFinity S9, Samsung's new 5K display masterpiece

Samsung Electronics officially launched the 27-inch ViewFinity S9 monitor (product code: S90PC) globally, including the Vietnamese market, thereby expanding the product portfolio of the ViewFinity monitor line.

The new ViewFinity S9 features a 27-inch 5K (5,120 x 2,880) display, which increases the workspace by 50% compared to conventional UHD monitors, delivering exceptional detail in images and text. This monitor allows professionals to easily work with ultra-high-resolution content without zooming in, giving them a bird’s-eye view of any project in 5K resolution while keeping all editing tools fully visible on the screen.

With 99% DCI-P3 and a pixel density of up to 218 PPI (pixels per inch), the ViewFinity S9 display is capable of displaying sharp details and incredibly vivid colors, the perfect choice for users who prioritize image fidelity. Furthermore, the standard brightness of 600 cd/m² makes it easy for users to work in almost any lighting conditions.

Additionally, users can set the exact color they desire with the help of Samsung's calibration technology. During the manufacturing process, the screen's color is calibrated at the factory based on the Delta E<21 color deviation standard, providing incredible accuracy right out of the box.

The ViewFinity S9 is equipped with the industry’s first Smart Calibration feature for smartphones. This allows users to easily adjust the ViewFinity S9’s display to their liking for the desired settings without the need for expensive and complicated calibration equipment. Through the SmartThings app, users can quickly calibrate basic gamma or white balance settings, and switch to professional mode for a full suite of adjustments such as color temperature, luminance, color gamut, and gamma settings.

To perform calibration, users simply point their smartphone camera at the ViewFinity S9 display. Once the calibration is complete, users can read a report detailing the corrections made as well as the color accuracy according to Delta E.

The monitor allows flexible connectivity for both Mac and Windows PC users through Thunderbolt 4 and mini DisplayPort ports in addition to USB-C. Thunderbolt 4 connectivity allows users to charge devices with up to 90W of power and securely transfer data at super-fast speeds of up to 40 Gbps.

This monitor model is also equipped with a 4K SlimFit Camera that connects magnetically, allowing users to easily attach it to the screen without the need for additional wires or accessories. The 4K resolution of the Camera provides clear quality when making video calls on applications such as Google Meet. The camera is exquisitely designed to fit the screen, combined with the Auto Framing feature, helping the user's image to always be clearly displayed in the frame, even when moving.

Pre-installed Smart TV apps on the display provide a full TV experience for after-work entertainment, with instant access to popular streaming shows and apps without the need for a separate PC. Additionally, built-in speakers with Adaptive Sound+ automatically adjust noise levels, and a remote control make the ViewFinity S9 an all-in-one display for both work and play.

ViewFinity S9 will be officially available in the Vietnamese market from August 1, 2023 with a suggested retail price of VND 29,990,400. Customers can pre-order from July 17 to July 31, 2023 to receive a Galaxy Watch 5 smartwatch worth VND 6,490,000.
