At the invitation of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, a delegation of the Communist Party of China led by Comrade Li Shulei, Politburo member, Secretary of the Secretariat, and Head of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, visited Vietnam from January 10-13.
On the afternoon of January 10, at the Party Central Committee headquarters, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Head of the Communist Party of Vietnam delegation, held talks with comrade Ly Thu Loi and the delegation of the Communist Party of China.
Welcoming Comrade Ly Thu Loi and the delegation to visit Vietnam and attend the 18th Theoretical Workshop between the two Parties, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized that this is the first high-level visit between the two Parties and two countries in 2024, right after the very successful State visit to Vietnam by General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, aiming to promptly concretize the important common perception between the top leaders of the two Parties and two countries.
The Head of the Central Propaganda Department congratulated China on its important theoretical and practical achievements in recent times, especially since the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China; informed about the important results achieved after more than half a term of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the implementation of the key tasks of the Central Propaganda Department since the beginning of the term.
Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized the high regard and top priority of the Vietnamese Party and State for the Vietnam-China relationship; highly appreciated the positive developments in the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries, especially the historical significance of the official visit to China in October 2022 by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and the State visit to Vietnam in December 2023 by General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping.

Head of the Central Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of China Li Shulei expressed his pleasure in visiting Vietnam, witnessing and congratulating Vietnam's important achievements in socio-economic development under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, headed by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, and Vietnam's international position has been constantly increasing.
The Head of the Central Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of China affirmed that the Chinese Party and State always attach great importance to and consider Vietnam a priority direction in China's neighborly diplomacy; are ready to work with Vietnam to implement the important common perception between the top leaders of the two Parties, promote the increasingly good and sustainable development of Vietnam-China relations, contributing to peace, stability and development in the region and the world.
Emphasizing the importance of thoroughly grasping and implementing the common perception between the two General Secretaries, the two sides agreed to promote the pioneering role and strategic orientation of Party channel relations for the overall bilateral relations in the new period; and to increase experience sharing in theoretical research and Party building.
The two sides highly appreciated the results of cooperation between the propaganda and education agencies of the two Parties, emphasizing the importance of party channel exchanges in general and in the field of propaganda and education in particular. The two sides discussed a number of directions to further promote cooperation between the Central Propaganda and Education Commissions of the two Parties, contributing positively to further deepening and enhancing the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China.
Accordingly, the two Committees maintain regular cooperation, focusing on promoting the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two countries and peoples, the practical cooperation achievements between the two countries in recent years, and firmly consolidating the social foundation for sustainable and long-term development of the relationship between the two Parties and two countries.
