Vietnam invests more than 424 million USD abroad

According to the Foreign Investment Agency, 95 new projects were granted investment registration certificates, with a total registered capital of more than 251 million USD, equal to 64.4% compared to the same period. 19 projects were adjusted with a total investment capital increase of more than 173.19 million USD, 2.8 times higher than the same period.

Vietnam's foreign investment value in the first 10 months of 2023 is lower than the same period in 2022

Vietnamese investors have invested abroad in 14 sectors. Of these, wholesale and retail led with 32 new investment projects and 6 capital adjustments, with a total registered investment capital of more than 151 million USD, accounting for 35.7% of the total registered investment capital abroad.

The information and communication industry ranked second with more than 119.3 million USD, accounting for 28.1%. Next were the electricity production and distribution industries, agriculture , forestry, fisheries; processing and manufacturing industries, etc.

There are 24 countries and territories receiving investment from Vietnam in the first 10 months of 2023. Leading the way is Canada with 1 new investment project and 1 capital adjustment project, the total registered investment capital reached more than 150.2 million USD, accounting for 35.4% of the total investment capital. Followed by Singapore, Laos, Cuba...

As of October 20, Vietnam had 1,675 valid foreign investment projects, with a total investment capital of more than 22.1 billion USD.

Of these, 141 projects of state-owned enterprises, with total overseas investment capital of nearly 11.67 billion USD, accounted for 52.8%.

Vietnam's overseas investment is mostly concentrated in the mining sector (31.5%); agriculture, forestry and fisheries (15.5%). The countries receiving the most investment from Vietnam are Laos (24.7%), Cambodia (13.3%), Venezuela (8.3%)...
