According to Rakuten Viber, Vietnamese people spend 2 hours and 32 minutes a day on social media and messaging apps, staying on them for one minute longer than the global average. Local businesses can reach their audience through messaging, as 73% of Vietnamese consumers prefer to interact with brands through chat.

Viber is well-positioned to help Vietnamese businesses make the most of these trends with a growing “pay-to-play” audience in Vietnam, with Viber seeing an incredible 642% spike in private calls to date, a 24% growth in messages exchanged across channels, and a 12% increase in private calls and private messages in the first half of 2023.

Now used by over 20,000 brands worldwide - Viber for Business offers advertising solutions (native ads, branded stickers and lenses), messaging solutions (business messages, chatbots) as well as upcoming business calls and OTP solutions.

The Viber for Business ecosystem helps brands solve their business needs: build brand awareness and generate new leads, increase revenue and ROI, effectively nurture customer loyalty…

Vietnamese businesses have benefited from these solutions as Viber recorded growing interest in local brand user interactions in the first half of 2023.

Rakuten Viber has announced the launch of a new business toolkit designed for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), introducing a free self-service business account for SMEs. The company is also actively developing solutions and features to serve businesses. Future updates include free business calls for users, a brand new OTP solution, enhanced security messages to confirm users’ identities, engaging click-to-message ads, and more.

“As we expand Viber’s business portfolio, we are committed to tailoring solutions to the unique needs of businesses of different sizes and locations,” said Berina Tanovic, Chief Business Officer at Rakuten Viber. “As more Vietnamese brands turn to Viber to communicate with their customers, we will provide solutions that enable them to connect with local and international audiences.”
