Why was the Chief of Office of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Lam Dong province arrested?

Lam Dong Provincial Police have just prosecuted and temporarily detained Mr. Pham Thanh Cong (55 years old) to investigate the act of "Fraudulent appropriation of property" .

Regarding the above case, on September 24, the police searched the residence and private house of this defendant on Ly Nam De Street, Da Lat City and seized many boxes of documents.

According to the investigation, through relationships, Mr. PQC in Duc Trong district asked Mr. Cong to help change the land use purpose. Mr. C. transferred a total of 1 billion VND to Mr. Cong twice to cover the costs.

Knowing that Mr. C's request was not feasible and not in accordance with land law, defendant Cong still received the money and "forgot" to return it to the client.

During the regular citizen reception in September, Mr. C. denounced the behavior of the Chief of Office of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to Mr. Nguyen Thai Hoc - Acting Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee.

Then, Mr. Hoc assigned the provincial police to verify and investigate the information the people reported.

According to Lam Dong Provincial Police, the investigation and evidence consolidation process encountered many difficulties because of the large and complicated amount of documents and the suspect's high level of professional knowledge. Many professional forces have coordinated to clarify this case.
