This morning (January 8), the award ceremony for the Vietnamese team for winning the AFF Cup 2024 was held at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
Tens of billions of dong in bonuses for the Vietnamese team
The opening ceremony was the VFF award to the Vietnamese team worth 7.2 billion VND, presented to the team by VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan. This is a record high award that the team has received from VFF.
The award ceremony was held at VFF headquarters.
Next, corporations, companies, and brands awarded prizes to the team, specifically:
- LPBank awarded a prize worth 5 billion VND
- Dong Luc Sports Group awarded a prize worth 1.2 billion VND
- SHB Bank awarded a prize worth 2 billion VND
- Agribank awarded a prize worth 2 billion VND. Agribank awarded an additional prize worth 10,000 USD to the Vietnamese player who scored the most goals, Nguyen Xuan Son.
- Sao Vang Beer, Alcohol and Beverage Corporation awarded a prize worth 1 billion VND
- King Sports brand awarded a prize worth 500 million VND
- Businessman Nguyen Van De: 500 million VND
The State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises has mobilized and supported 5 billion VND; Petrovietnam, Viettel and VPBank also supported the team with 2 billion VND/enterprise. The Southeast Asian Football Federation awarded 300,000 USD (7.6 billion VND). According to state regulations, each player is awarded 40 million VND for winning the AFF Cup (the team has 26 players). The total amount the team received is about 40 billion VND.
The team received awards from sponsors at the Government Office.
The AFF Cup champion team received a lot of money from businesses.

Representatives of corporations, companies and brands shared at the ceremony that this achievement of the Vietnamese team at the AFF Cup 2024 is extremely glorious, bringing glory to the country's sports and contributing to uniting and enhancing national spirit and these rewards are completely worthy of what the team has achieved.
After 8 matches at the AFF Cup 2024, the Vietnamese team won 7 matches, drew 1 match and won important individual awards such as "best player" and "top scorer" for Nguyen Xuan Son; "best goalkeeper" for Nguyen Dinh Trieu.
The team returned home on January 6 and met with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the Government Office to report on their achievements.
During the meeting, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, the Prime Minister presented noble awards to the team and its members. Specifically, the team received the First Class Labor Medal from the President. Players Nguyen Xuan Son, Do Duy Manh, Nguyen Quang Hai, Nguyen Tien Linh, Nguyen Hoang Duc, and Nguyen Dinh Trieu were awarded the Third Class Labor Medal.
