Specifically, VFF was awarded the AFC President's Bronze Award for Community Youth Football; FFAV Vietnam Community Youth Football Project (a cooperation between VFF and the Norwegian Football Federation) won the Best Grassroots Project in Asia award; PVF Youth Football Training Center won the Youth Academy of the Year award - a special award from AFC for youth football.
In addition, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Phuong, member of the VFF Grassroots Football Committee, Chief Representative of the Norwegian Football Federation in Vietnam/Director of the "Community Football in Vietnam FFAV" project won the award for Best Grassroots Football Leader in Asia.

For the community football development project, especially the FIFA school football project, VFF has cooperated with the Ministry of Education and Training to deploy to 1,000 schools in 63 provinces and cities across the country. The FFAV community football project continues to expand the model to more than 15 provinces and cities across the country (including the Vietnam - Norway Cup, after 5 years of organizing the Vietnam - Norway Cup, it has attracted about 3,000-4,000 primary and secondary school students to participate; of which 50% are female). In 2025, VFF will continue to coordinate with the FFAV project to find more effective, practical and feasible measures to implement and replicate the FFAV community football model.
VFF has completed the development of official teaching materials for children from U.6 to U.12 and supported the organization of grassroots football tournaments for children and students, increasing investment in the development of grassroots football. According to the plan, VFF will continue to focus on developing school football through cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Training to develop a plan for developing school football in Vietnam (focusing on the following contents: developing teaching materials, organizing training courses for school football coaches, supporting specialized equipment from the budget of FIFA, AFC and other international organizations); Coordinate with the Department of Physical Education to develop documents on football and orientations and policies for the development of school football. Strengthen international cooperation and organize training courses for community football: Community football coach certification training course; grassroots football festivals in localities to connect and exchange for community football centers, school football clubs...
FIFA School Football Project
In 2024, VFF has made efforts to stabilize and develop youth football tournaments in the national competition system such as: U.21, U.19 (men, women), U.20 men's futsal, U.16 women, U.15, U.13, U.11, U.9...
In addition, VFF also actively participates in social responsibility activities and commits to being an active member of the AFC Grassroots Football Charter, organizing activities in response to AFC Women's Football Day and Grassroots Football Day.
In addition, VFF is also one of 05 Asian regional federations selected by UEFA to participate in the UEFA/AFC Project to support the development of women's football, including important contents such as Women's Football Development Strategy, Youth Football Development, Media and Image Development for Women's Football, Clubs and National Championships, National Teams, Human Resources for Women's Football with the participation of relevant professional departments of VFF and partners.
