E-ticket to visit Huong Pagoda festival includes both sightseeing ticket and boat ticket

On the morning of February 3 (January 6), the Huong Pagoda Festival officially opened at the Huong Son Scenic Relic Site, My Duc District, Hanoi, with the theme "Huong Pagoda Festival - a destination for tourism, culture, and Vietnamese traditions". This year, the festival has many innovations to enhance the experience for visitors, especially the application of technology in management and organization.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of My Duc District People's Committee, Mr. Dang Van Canh, Head of the Organizing Committee of the 2025 Huong Pagoda Festival, said that through the festival activities, it will contribute to propagating and educating generations about the sense of responsibility in participating in preserving, promoting and exploiting cultural values ​​associated with socio-economic development; at the same time, promoting the cultural values ​​of Huong Pagoda Festival and the value of the complex of special National Monuments associated with the potential and strengths of tourism development of My Duc district to a large number of people in the country and international tourists.

Awarding of certificate of recognition of city-level tourist area

The highlight of this year’s festival season is the integration of sightseeing tickets and ferry tickets into a unified electronic ticket. This helps reduce queuing time, limit crowding and create maximum convenience for visitors when making a pilgrimage to the spiritual place.

According to Mr. Bui Van Trieu, Head of the Management Board of Huong Son Scenic Relic Site, all boats are painted blue and fully equipped with life jackets, umbrellas, seats and free drinking water. In addition, the Organizing Committee focuses on environmental protection by installing a free public toilet system and increasing regular waste collection services.

In addition, to ensure the safety of tourists, My Duc district has arranged first aid stations in crowded areas such as Huong Tich cave gate, cable car station, and Thien Tru yard. The authorities have also increased patrols and security control to ensure a civilized and safe festival season.

At Thien Tru pagoda area, early in the morning there were already many people going to the festival.

Besides the worship activities, visitors also have the opportunity to enjoy many unique cultural and artistic programs such as the photo exhibition “Huong Pagoda past and present”, the Lantern Festival poetry night, boat racing, dragon dance, spring palanquin procession, birthday ceremony, the Five Hundred Names ceremony, folk games, Dong Binh Cheo, Hong Son Cheo, An Phu gongs… taking place throughout the festival season.

A special highlight this year is the Huong Binh cable car line officially put into operation, connecting two landmarks Huong Pagoda (Hanoi) and Tien Pagoda (Hoa Binh). This cable car line not only helps shorten travel time, reduce traffic congestion but also promotes cultural connection, trade development, services, tourism between Hanoi, Hoa Binh, Ha Nam and neighboring areas.

Tourists visit Huong Pagoda festival

According to statistics from the Management Board of Huong Son Scenic Relic Site, on January 30 (the second day of Tet), this place welcomed about 16,000 visitors; on January 31 (the third day of Tet), this number increased to more than 19,000 people. By the end of February 2 (the fifth day of Tet At Ty), My Duc district welcomed a total of 87,204 visitors, with 36,504 visitors on February 2 alone.

Mr. Dang Van Canh, representative of the Organizing Committee, emphasized: "The Huong Pagoda Festival aims to continue affirming traditional cultural values, maintaining spiritual beauty and promoting the value of the special national relic of Huong Son Complex. At the same time, the festival also creates a joyful atmosphere, encourages people's spirit, promotes socio-economic development, towards welcoming Party Congresses at all levels and major events in 2025."

Immediately after the opening, many visitors from all over burned incense at Thien Tru Pagoda.

With careful preparation and innovation in organization, the 2025 Huong Pagoda Festival promises to bring memorable experiences, both preserving traditional identity and meeting the needs of tourists in the digital age.
