SJC gold stands at 89 million VND/tael

SJC gold is currently listed at 86-89 million VND/tael (buy-sell). At the same time, world gold continued to increase to 2,349.1 USD/oz.

At the time of survey at 5:00 a.m. on May 15, the gold price on the trading floors of some companies was as follows:

DOJI listed the price of 9999 gold at 86.50 million VND/tael for buying and 88.50 million VND/tael for selling.

At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the gold price at the time of survey was listed at VND 87.50 - 89.20 million/tael (buy - sell).

SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 87.10 - 89.00 million VND/tael (buy - sell). Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Manh Hai, it is being traded at 87.10 - 90.70 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was at 2,357.07 USD/ounce, a difference of 21.7 USD/ounce compared to yesterday's gold price. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 71.242 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 14.76 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

Durian continues to decline due to the main season

Durian prices are forecasted to continue to decrease on May 15 due to the main crop season.

Previously, on May 14, 2024, the price of durian at the garden: Ri6 durian was at 50,000 - 68,000 VND/kg; Thai durian price was at 67,000 - 85,000 VND/kg; Musangking durian remained at 160,000 - 190,000 VND/kg.

In the Southwestern region: Beautiful Ri6 durian and Ri6 durian in bulk are priced at 50,000 - 68,000 VND/kg, beautiful Ri6 durian is priced at 65,000 - 68,000 VND/kg; beautiful Thai durian is priced at 87,000 - 90,000 VND/kg; Thai durian in bulk is priced at 67,000 - 70,000 VND/kg.

In the first 4 months of 2024, durian exports earned over half a billion USD.

In the Southeast region: The price of beautiful Ri6 durian and Ri6 durian in bucket is purchased by traders at 50,000 - 67,000 VND/kg; beautiful Thai durian is at 87,000 - 90,000 VND/kg; meanwhile, Thai durian in bucket is at 67,000 - 70,000 VND/kg.

In the Central Highlands: The price of beautiful Ri6 durian and Ri6 durian in bucket is at 48,000 - 67,000 VND/kg; beautiful Thai durian is at 83,000 - 85,000 VND/kg; meanwhile, Thai durian in bucket is at 63,000 - 65,000 VND/kg.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development recommends that localities step up inspection, examination, and supervision of durian growing area codes and packaging facilities to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Protocol on durian exports.

Domestic coffee prices slightly decreased

Updated at 4:20 a.m. on May 15, domestic coffee prices decreased slightly, by about 200 - 300 VND/kg. Currently, the average purchase price in the Central Highlands provinces is 100,600 VND/kg, the highest purchase price in Dak Lak province is 100,800 VND/kg.

Specifically, coffee is purchased in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces at 100,200 VND/kg; in Dak Nong province, coffee is purchased at 100,700 VND/kg.

Green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha are purchased at 99,700 VND/kg.

In Dak Lak province, coffee is purchased at about 100,700 VND/kg, while in Ea H'leo district and Buon Ho town, it is purchased at the same price of 100,800 VND/kg.
