According to the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province, this year's Humanitarian Month has the theme: "Joining hands to build a compassionate community", associated with the implementation of the Movement "Good people, good deeds", which has been actively responded to by all levels of the association and a large number of cadres, members, youth, and Red Cross volunteers, attracting the participation of many organizations, businesses, and people.
In the 2023 Humanitarian Month, Red Cross chapters at all levels in Binh Phuoc province mobilized and implemented over 10 billion VND, helping over 20,000 poor people and people in difficult circumstances.
Thereby, it has created a movement of "mutual love and support" to care for the poor, people in difficult circumstances, and vulnerable groups such as: Giving scholarships and nutritional milk to children and students; giving gifts to workers and laborers in difficult circumstances, poor households, and people with disabilities; providing free medical examination and medicine to people; donating clean water facilities to border guards; participating in humanitarian blood donation...
Many units have successfully implemented the Humanitarian Month 2023. In particular, the Red Cross Societies of 11/11 districts, towns and cities registered projects and tasks to be implemented during the month with a total value converted into money of over 4.9 billion VND.
People are happy and moved to receive timely care and support.
The Red Cross Society of Dong Xoai City has advised the City People's Committee to create conditions and coordinate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city and the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the city to organize a vegetarian food and art festival to raise funds to build charity houses for poor and homeless households in the city, resulting in over 300 million VND.
The Provincial Red Cross Association coordinated with the Traffic Police Team, Order and Police of Dong Phu District to launch the model "Helping disadvantaged children continue to go to school" in Dong Phu District, to encourage their spirit, create joy and help them have more conditions to study better...
