According to VGC , Valve has marked the 25th anniversary of its hit shooter Half-Life with a number of promotions and content discounts, including a new, expansive update for the original game.
According to details released on the 25th anniversary website, Valve has added new multiplayer maps, restored gameplay content, graphical options, and full Steam Deck compatibility.
The company is also marking the big occasion by offering Half-Life for free to any user who adds the game to their Steam library for a limited time this past weekend, while also offering discounts on the remaining games in the franchise.

As of now, Half-Life games are still in progress are heavily discounted on Steam, such as Half-Life (VND 12,000), Half-Life 2 (VND 14,000), Half-Life 2: Episode One (VND 11,500) and Half-Life 2: Episode Two (VND 11,500). Or the entire collection of Half-Life games is only VND 94,500. Interested players can visit store.steampowered.com/sale/franchise_half-life to collect games at preferential prices.
Notably, Valve also released a 1-hour documentary made in collaboration with Secret Tape, which features the original development team sharing their memories of making Valve's first game.

Currently, the latest Half-Life game is Half-Life Alyx, which was created for virtual reality (VR) devices and was released in 2020. According to a report published in late 2021, Half-Life 3 is not in active development and instead, Valve has focused more on creating console-friendly titles on Steam Deck.
