The State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises (the Committee) said that the review and disciplinary process has been basically completed. The Committee is continuing to coordinate with the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc to direct EVN to issue decisions on disciplining officials and party members.
Accordingly, the Committee proposed disciplinary action against EVN leaders, including: Mr. Duong Quang Thanh - former Chairman of the Board of Members; Mr. Tran Dinh Nhan - member of the Board of Members and General Director, Mr. Ngo Son Hai - Deputy General Director and Director, Deputy Director of the National Power System Dispatch Center.
The Committee will continue to direct disciplinary action against other related individuals according to the principles of fairness and objectivity, not omitting any individual or collective with violations or shortcomings; in sync with the review and disciplinary action work, the Committee has also implemented personnel work at EVN.
Accordingly, based on discussions with personnel, the Committee will consider and assign other tasks or dismiss the General Director as desired; assign other personnel to take charge of operations and organize replacement personnel, and report to competent authorities for consideration and decision.
From May to the first half of June, there was a widespread disruption of power supply, especially in the Northern region, causing public outrage, affecting people's lives, and causing damage to the economy. The Prime Minister has directed strict handling of relevant organizations and individuals.
Immediately after the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued the inspection conclusion on the implementation of legal regulations on management and operation of electricity supply by EVN and units related to electricity supply, the Committee directed EVN and related units to conduct a review to clarify responsibilities and discipline related groups and individuals; at the same time, clarify the existing systemic shortcomings and limitations to propose solutions to overcome them in the coming time.
As a result, reviews were organized at 24 units throughout EVN, 85 collectives, and 161 related individuals.
