Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province: Summary of the work of mobilizing, managing and using the Fund "For the Poor"

In the first 6 months of 2024, the "For the Poor" Fund Mobilization Committee at all levels received support from agencies, units, businesses, individuals, and philanthropists inside and outside the province with an amount of over 10 billion VND. From this fund, it supported the construction and repair of 162 houses for poor and near-poor households with real difficulties in housing, with a total value of 9.7 billion VND. For the "Relief" Fund in 2023, the cumulative increase was 1.7 billion VND. Implementing the Social Security Program, it organized the reception and distribution of over 96,500 Tet gifts for poor and near-poor households, policy families, and people in difficult circumstances with a total value of over 31.7 billion VND. Implementing Project 384, the goal is to build 500 houses in 2024, and 147 houses have been built so far.

Concluding the conference, the Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee highly appreciated the mobilization, management and use of funds, as well as the implementation of Project 384 in the past time. At the same time, he suggested that in the coming time, the system of Fatherland Fronts at all levels and member organizations continue to promote the achieved results with high determination to achieve and exceed the goals and targets set for the year, in which promoting the proactive role in performing tasks, especially in advising Party committees, coordinating with the government to improve the quality of program implementation; promoting propaganda work, diversifying forms of mobilization, mobilizing resources to care for the poor; effectively implementing Project 384, especially strengthening the inspection and supervision of the management, use and allocation of resources, creating conditions for people to participate and make positive contributions to poverty reduction. The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs reported and advised the Provincial People's Committee to assign the task of sponsoring poor households to escape poverty in 2024 to units and localities. Sectors, localities, Fatherland Fronts at all levels and member organizations focused on implementing Decision 840 of the Provincial People's Committee on promulgating a plan to implement the emulation movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025" in Ninh Thuan province.
