* Ukraine attacked an oil depot belonging to the Kaluganefteprodukt company in Russia's Kaluga region with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on the night of November 24, according to a military intelligence source in the Eastern European country.
The governor of the Kaluga region, south of Moscow, confirmed that air defense systems shot down eight UAVs and an “industrial facility” caught fire. (AFP)
* Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan received NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the presidential palace in Ankara on November 25 and is expected to make an official statement after the meeting. (Spuntik)
* Foreign ministers of the Group of Seven (G7) industrialized nations met on November 25-26. The first session discussed the situation in the Middle East and the Red Sea, especially efforts to promote a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon.

* The Philippines is investigating Vice President Sara Duterte for threatening to assassinate President Ferdinand Marcos. Deputy Attorney General Jesse Andres said the Philippine government was acting to protect the legitimately elected head of state, and gave Ms Duterte five days to respond to the subpoena.
Earlier, Ms. Duterte told reporters that she had ordered Mr. Marcos to be killed if the assassination attempt on her succeeded. President Marcos affirmed that he would “respond” to the threat, which he called “worrying,” and stressed: “As a democratic country, we need to enforce the law.” (AFP)
* South Korea conducted air force exercises from November 25-30 at an air base in Cheongju, about 110 km south of Seoul, with the participation of about 60 fighter jets, including F-15K and KF-16 fighters, E-737 early warning and control aircraft and KC-330 transport tankers.
About 190 troops will participate in air defense operations and air interdiction drills held under various scenarios, such as infiltration by enemy air forces. (Yonhap)
* Japan and Italy signed a pact to streamline the process of providing supplies and services such as food, fuel, ammunition and repair work between the Japan Self-Defense Forces and the Italian military.

* Niger has demanded that European Union (EU) Ambassador Pinto da Franca be replaced “as soon as possible”, after the bloc recalled its ambassador due to a dispute over the disbursement of emergency aid.
On November 22, Niger’s military government accused EU Ambassador Salvador Pinto da Franca of distributing 1.3 million euros ($1.36 million) in aid to flood victims through non-governmental organizations without informing the government in advance. Niger called Franca’s actions “illegal” and “stubborn.”
In response, on November 23, the EU said it “completely disagrees” with the allegations and recalled the ambassador for consultations. Niger’s foreign ministry said it had warned Mr da Franca in October about his “illegal activities”, which it said continued. (AFP)

* Israel launched two heavy airstrikes south of Beirut on November 24, “causing massive destruction over a wide geographical area” of the Kafaat district. In response, Hezbollah fired a barrage of heavy rockets into Israel. Israeli media reported that a building near Tel Aviv was hit.
