Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to urge disbursement of public investment capital in the agricultural sector.

As of October 25, the total disbursed capital of the agricultural sector was VND 2,048.4 billion/VND 2,775.5 billion, reaching 73.8% of the capital plan assigned by the Government; of which, domestic capital disbursed reached 74.7%, National Target Program capital was VND 256.6 billion, reaching 82%; foreign capital disbursed VND 542.7 billion, reaching 71.5%. For capital transferred from 2023 to 2024, VND 111.9 billion/VND 289.8 billion has been disbursed, reaching 38.6% of the plan. Some projects have been slow to disburse, with low achievement rates mainly due to difficulties in site clearance for construction; difficulties in document procedures due to policy changes and newly allocated additional adjusted capital. Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that sectors, units, localities, and investors of projects in the fields of agriculture and rural development focus on accelerating the disbursement of projects, especially key projects with large capital sources, transitional capital, and career capital with low disbursement rates; strive to disburse public investment capital in 2024 to reach 100% of the plan. He requested that investors proactively coordinate to remove difficulties and obstacles in site clearance, investment procedures and documents; propose solutions to advance capital to pay compensation for early land recovery for people for urgent projects. Promote the role and responsibility of heads of agencies and investment units, inspect and supervise the disbursement plan of each project, promptly grasp and resolve difficulties and obstacles for projects. Review the remaining capital, promptly propose to transfer the capital to other projects to avoid capital recovery, slow capital disbursement affecting the overall disbursement situation of the province. Contractors increase machinery, equipment and workers to speed up construction to ensure the project is built on schedule, meets quality, and is soon completed and put into use to serve people's lives, develop production, and improve people's lives.
