The Provincial People's Committee gave opinions on 4 draft resolutions submitted to the Provincial People's Council meeting.

This afternoon, September 10, Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam chaired a meeting with departments, branches and localities to review and give opinions on the draft report and resolution to be submitted to the 27th session of the 8th Provincial People's Council.

The meeting reviewed and gave opinions on 4 draft resolutions. Regarding the draft resolution on naming roads and adjusting the starting and ending points of some roads in Quang Tri town: 29 roads were reviewed and named, of which Vo Thi Sau urban area had 10 roads, Bac Thanh Co urban area had 12 roads, Hai Le commune had 3 roads, the remaining roads were in Ward 1 and An Don ward.

Draft resolution adjusting the investment policy of the project to eliminate temporary rooms, borrowed classrooms, renovate and upgrade boarding and semi-boarding schools for ethnic minorities in the province and build Huong Hoa High School, adjusting the total investment. This is a project approved by the Provincial People's Council in Resolution No. 72/NQ-HDND dated June 25, 2021.

The project has a total investment of 130 billion VND supported by the central budget. The project invests in 96 classrooms of all levels, 8 functional rooms, 20 dormitories, 18 subject classrooms with an investment of 85 billion VND; the construction of Huong Hoa High School has a total investment of 45 billion VND. The project's content is adjusted from 130 billion VND to 145 billion VND due to volume increase and price slippage.

Draft approval of adjustments and supplements to the Thong Nhat Park project at the Hien Luong - Ben Hai National Special Relic Site, adjusting the investment scale of a number of items. This is a project approved by the Provincial People's Council in Resolution No. 79-NQ-HDND dated November 29, 2022 and adjusted in Resolution No. 62/NQ-HDND dated July 19, 2023. The project has a total investment of 80 billion VND, capital from the central budget, implementation period from 2023 - 2025. The project adjusts the scale of a number of items such as the flagpole, infrastructure, the relic management board's office and toilets.

Draft resolution approving adjustments and supplements to the scale of investment policy for the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel National Special Relic Site project and memorial sites for the 81 days and nights of fighting to protect the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, adjusting the scale of investment in items.

The project has been approved by the Provincial People's Council in Resolutions No. 78/NQ-HDND dated November 29, 2022 and Resolution No. 61/NQ-HDND dated July 19, 2023, with a total investment of 90 billion VND, capital from the central budget. The project adjusts the investment scale of items including the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel National Special Relic Site, Long Hung Church, and Bo De School.

Based on the opinions of departments, branches and localities, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam agreed on the contents of the draft resolutions on naming roads, adjusting the starting and ending points of some roads in Quang Tri town; adjusting the investment policy of the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel National Special Relic Site projects and the memorial sites of the 81 days and nights of fighting to protect the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel; the Thong Nhat Park project at the Hien Luong - Ben Hai National Special Relic Site. At the same time, he requested relevant units to promptly complete investment documents and procedures and proactively implement the project when the Provincial People's Council approves it.

Regarding the draft resolution adjusting the investment policy for the project to eliminate temporary rooms, borrowed classrooms, renovate and upgrade boarding and semi-boarding schools for ethnic minorities in the province and build Huong Hoa High School, due to the adjustment of the total investment, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam requested the units to continue reviewing to balance resources to ensure proper procedures and regulations on capital use, and submit to the Provincial People's Committee.
