However, in addition to positive results, the management and use of radio frequencies and equipment still have limitations, leading to potential risks of frequency interference. In order to effectively implement the Law on Radio Frequencies, the Provincial People's Committee has issued a document directing the strengthening of the management of radio frequencies and equipment in the province.
Accordingly, relevant departments, branches, sectors, units, People's Committees of districts, towns and cities, depending on their tasks and functions, shall direct, guide, propagate and disseminate legal regulations on radio frequencies; recommend that organizations, households and individuals do not produce, trade or use wireless broadcasting equipment or other radio equipment with frequencies that are not in accordance with the national frequency planning and legal regulations.
Provide guidance and promote the use of radio frequencies and equipment. Strengthen management and supervision of the production, trading and use of radio frequencies. Conduct inspections, checks, supervision and handle violations according to State regulations against organizations and individuals who produce, trade and use radio broadcasting equipment that does not comply with the law on radio frequencies.
In particular, deploy, guide and propagate fishing vessel owners to carry out the work of granting licenses to use radio frequencies; strictly inspect and control 100% of fishing vessels leaving the channel, not allowing fishing vessels to leave the channel without being fully equipped with communication equipment and licenses to use radio frequencies according to regulations.
Allocate funds to perform state management tasks on radio frequencies to ensure efficiency and savings. Direct the People's Committees of communes, wards and towns not to invest in new FM wired/wireless broadcasting systems; implement the conversion to broadcasting using information technology - telecommunications.
