According to the draw results, U23 Vietnam fell into Group C, facing opponents Guam, Yemen, Singapore, in the 2024 U23 Asian qualifiers. This group took place in Vietnam, bringing many advantages to coach Philippe Troussier's team.

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has divided the teams into 11 groups, including 10 groups of 4 teams and 1 group of 3 teams. At the end of the qualifiers, the 11 group winners and the 4 best runners-up will qualify for the 2024 AFC U23 Championship finals in Qatar.

If host U23 Qatar is in the top 15 teams with the best results in the qualifying round, the second-placed team with the 5th best result will qualify for the finals.
