The central VND/USD exchange rate announced by the State Bank is adjusted to 23,987 VND/USD, an increase of 11 VND compared to the trading session on January 16.

World USD continues to increase, reaching above 103 points.

Currently, the permitted exchange rate of commercial banks fluctuates from 23,400 - 25,136 VND/USD. The US dollar exchange rate has also been brought to the buying and selling range by the State Bank of Vietnam from 23,400 to 25,136 VND/USD. Specifically, Vietcombank has a buying price of 24,265 and a selling price of 24,635, an increase of 75 VND compared to the trading session on January 16. The current buying and selling prices of USD are in the range of 23,400 - 25,300 VND/USD.

In the world market, the Dollar Index (DXY), measuring the USD against 6 major currencies (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF), stopped at 103.38 points - up 0.94% compared to the transaction on January 16.

Gold suddenly dropped sharply

Today, SJC gold continues to stand still at a high price of 76.5 million VND/tael, while world gold suddenly drops sharply.

DOJI listed the price of 9999 gold today at 73.95 million VND/tael for buying and 76.45 million VND/tael for selling.

World gold today is at 2,028,610 USD/ounce, down 26,155 USD/ounce compared to yesterday's gold price.

At Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, at the time of survey, the listed price of SJC gold was at 74.60 - 75.70 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 73.90 - 76.15 million VND/tael (buy - sell). Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Manh Hai, it is being traded at 73.90 - 76.70 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

The world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was 2,028.610 USD/ounce, down 26.155 USD/ounce compared to yesterday's gold price. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 59.324 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 14.676 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

Domestic coffee prices increase "dizzily"

Updated at 5:12 a.m. on January 17, 2024, coffee prices increased dramatically, reaching a peak of 71,500 VND/kg, averaging 71,300 VND/kg in the Central Highlands provinces, the highest purchase price in Dak Nong province was 71,500 VND/kg.

Specifically, the coffee purchase price in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces is quite high at 71,400 VND/kg; In Dak Nong province, coffee is purchased at the highest price of 71,500 VND/kg.

Domestic coffee prices are increasing "dizzily".

The price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha is purchased at 70,900 VND/kg.

In Cu M'gar district, Dak Lak province, coffee is purchased at 71,300 VND/kg, while in Ea H'leo district, Buon Ho town, it is purchased at the same price of 71,400 VND/kg.
