The Conference to Announce the Program to Select Outstanding Enterprises to Participate in the Vietnam National Pavilion “Vietnam Pavilion” on Alibaba.com was organized by the Department of Trade Promotion, Ministry of Industry and Trade in coordination with the Alibaba.com e-commerce platform.
The event also officially opened registration for the Vietnam National Pavilion Program on the Alibaba.com e-commerce platform - the first milestone in the journey to select 100 excellent businesses to participate in this online pavilion.

The program aims to promote the diversity of Made-in-Vietnam products, enhance the reputation of Vietnamese businesses and brands, and increase awareness of high-quality Vietnamese products in the global market. The program also aims to promote international trade and facilitate global customers to better understand Vietnamese products and SMEs.
Under this program, the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency and Alibaba.com Vietnam have simplified 14 review criteria in 5 groups of criteria. These include mandatory requirements for made-in-Vietnam products to consider reputation and quality, use B2B e-commerce tools continuously and effectively, prioritize businesses with proven export potential, and other factors.
The registration period for small and medium-sized enterprises is expected to start from November 28, 2023 - January 15, 2024. The Vietnam National Pavilion on Alibaba.com will carefully consider to select 100 typical enterprises to participate and the selected enterprises will be certified by the Program's organizing committee.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Vu Ba Phu - Director of the Department of Trade Promotion, said: Cooperation with Alibaba.com will bring small and medium enterprises the opportunity to access the global market and grow rapidly.

The leader of the Trade Promotion Agency also informed: In 2022, the Trade Promotion Agency has coordinated with Alibaba.com to build and operate the "Vietnam National Pavilion". The Vietnam National Pavilion focuses on supporting Vietnamese enterprises to build their image, promote product brands; support business connection activities, enhance understanding of Vietnamese products and enterprises for international customers. This is also a highlight, demonstrating Alibaba.com's strong and long-term commitment in Vietnam.
The program to select 100 typical Vietnamese enterprises to participate in the Vietnam National Pavilion - Vietnam Pavilion is an important program to promote Vietnamese enterprises to participate in the international market; creating conditions for enterprises to have the opportunity to reach millions of customers worldwide through Alibaba.com's large customer network.
Enterprises selected to participate in the Vietnam National Pavilion will have attractive benefits and learn practical experience from successful exporters. At the conference, Mr. Andrew Zheng - Vice President of Alibaba.com and Head of Global Supplier Business, said: Vietnam's economy recovered faster in the third quarter, with GDP growing 5.33% over the same period. Many major financial institutions have positive assessments of Vietnam's growth rate in 2023 and 2024. In that context, e-commerce and digital transformation have significantly helped Vietnamese small and medium enterprises recover after the Covid-19 pandemic and contributed to this result.
On Alibaba.com, Vietnamese products are very attractive to customers. According to statistics, the average number of buyers in the first 6 months of 2023 increased by 55%, the number of suppliers increased by 24% over the same period. " Hopefully with this number, Vietnamese businesses will seize export opportunities through the platform ," said Mr. Andrew Zheng.
