According to Engadget , Ubisoft recently confirmed that Skull and Bones is still in development and the company will launch a closed beta to prove it.
Fans will get a chance to try out the much-delayed action-adventure game from August 25 to 28. The beta, which Ubisoft has announced, will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms, as well as the Amazon Luna gaming service.
Skull and Bones is coming to closed beta in August
The game was announced at E3 2017. The development of Skull and Bones has been considered one of the most troubled and delayed in the industry. Ubisoft has delayed the game several times and it is currently scheduled to be released in late March 2024, about 5 years later than originally planned.
Skull and Bones will take players on a journey to control a pirate ship in an open world (the entire game will be playable in co-op mode) and confront other players, with the ultimate goal of becoming a legendary pirate.
