In the process of cooperation between the EU and Vietnam, music has played an important role in the journey as a bridge connecting and creating momentum to promote the relationship between the two sides to become closer. In the framework of the video series “FYI - Chat with EU Ambassador”, the Ambassador of the European Union to Vietnam - Mr. Giorgio Aliberti had an interesting meeting on this topic with Rhymastic (Vu Duc Thien) - one of the members of the Space Speaker group.

Rhymastic is not only known as a rapper, he is also a musician and music producer loved by young Vietnamese audiences. From personal knowledge and experience, Ambassador Giorgio Aliberti and Rhymastic shared many useful things about the topic of "endless improvisation in music".

“Every performance by artists carries the spirit of connecting everyone, regardless of gender, age, social, cultural or geographical origin. Music is the bridge to do that. It transcends all boundaries and connects communities together to become a cultural anchor. From the EU to Vietnam, I believe that music is also becoming a language, a bridge that brings us closer together,” Ambassador Giorgio Aliberti shared.

Ambassador Giorgio Aliberti said that in Europe, access to music is a human right and everyone has the right to participate in musical activities in a fair and equal manner. Through various projects and programs such as Music Moves Europe , Creative Europe , Erasmus+ … the EU has created conditions and opportunities for artists and people working in the music industry to cooperate, exchange skills, promote cultural diversity and the common development of this art field.

The conversation between Ambassador Giorgio Aliberti and Rhymastic provided a deeper insight into the meaning of music and its importance in promoting cohesion between nations.

The video series “FYI - Chat with EU Ambassador” (where FYI stands for the topic of each conversation) is an interesting meeting between Ambassador Giorgio Aliberti and special friends, who are influential people or leading experts in many different fields.

The first episode is called FYI #1: Free Your Imagination (When creativity flourishes in the kitchen), the Ambassador and chef Hoang Tung (TUNG Dining) shared about European cuisine through the fine dining model combined with traditional Vietnamese cuisine in a very unique way.

Following the events of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the video FYI #2: Football – Your Inspiration brings stories about football culture and love for this king sport in both Europe and Vietnam when the Ambassador met with MC Quoc Khanh - Editor of Vietnam National Sports.

Episode 3 with the theme FYI #3: Fetch Your Information (Personal data is as easy to buy and sell as “going to the market”) helped viewers gain more understanding about “information security in cyberspace” in the digital age through a meeting with Ngo Minh Hieu (Hieu PC) - a leading expert in the field of network security.

Fake news and misinformation are becoming a global “pandemic”, with increasingly obvious consequences. Therefore, the next topic, FYI #4: Filter Your Internet , brought the audience to a discussion from a new perspective by Ambassador Giorgio Aliberti and Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Phuong Mai - a researcher in Multicultural Management and Applied Neuroscience, when misinformation and conspiracy theories hit the psychology of many people, one of the most necessary “shields” is to always keep a cool head - a quick and accurate “filter” of information, in an extremely complex world containing a lot of information like today.

Towards LGBT Pride Month, FYI #5: Find Your Identity aims to bring a pioneering Europe open in LGBT rights policies, EU Ambassador to Vietnam Giorgio Aliberti met guest Ta Quoc Ky Nam - Designer and Content Creator, he not only gave his perspective as an LGBT representative but also brought many experiences and shared for anyone on the journey to discover and express their own identity.

Along with the topic of “personal data”, this is also a topic that receives special attention from the audience. The Ambassador and guests had a Q&A session to answer all the questions sent to the program.

And the topic Music FYI #6: Feel Your Improvisation introduced above has concluded the video series of conversations with the EU Ambassador to Vietnam.

After nearly 1 year of broadcasting and through 6 talks with 6 prominent topics (Cuisine, Football, Personal Data, Journalism, LGBT and Music), the European Union Delegation to Vietnam hopes to bring Europe closer to Vietnamese audiences, while strengthening the good relationship between the EU and Vietnam in all fields.
