According to Article 8 of Circular 01/2021/TT-BGDDT, officials appointed to the professional positions of preschool teachers are subject to the corresponding salary table issued with Decree 204/2004/ND-CP, specifically as follows:

- Kindergarten teacher grade III, code V.07.02.26, is applied the salary coefficient of civil servants type A0, from salary coefficient 2.10 to salary coefficient 4.89;

- Kindergarten teacher grade II, code V.07.02.25, is applied the salary coefficient of civil servants type A1, from salary coefficient 2.34 to salary coefficient 4.98;

- Kindergarten teacher grade I, code V.07.02.24, is applied the salary coefficient of civil servants type A2, group A2.2, from salary coefficient 4.0 to salary coefficient 6.38.

In Conclusion 83-KL/TW dated June 21, 2024, the Politburo decided to increase the basic salary to VND 2.34 million/month from July 1, 2024.

* Standards for grade III preschool teachers

- Standards on training and development levels:

+ Have a college degree in preschool education or higher;

+ Have a training certificate according to the professional title standards of preschool teachers.

- Standards on professional competence and expertise:

+ Grasp the Party and State's guidelines, policies, laws, regulations and requirements of the industry and locality on preschool education and implement them in assigned tasks;

+ Have knowledge and skills in organizing activities to nurture, care for and educate children; have pedagogical ability suitable to the requirements of the task of implementing the preschool education program;

+ Know how to coordinate with colleagues, parents and the community in the work of nurturing, caring for and educating children;

+ Know how to effectively manage, use, preserve and maintain the group/class and school's physical assets and equipment;

+ Ability to apply information technology in professional activities; ability to use foreign languages ​​or ethnic minority languages ​​according to job requirements.

* Standards for grade II preschool teachers

- Standards on training and development levels:

+ Have a bachelor's degree in preschool education or higher; or have a college degree in preschool education and a bachelor's degree in educational management or higher;

+ Have a training certificate according to the professional title standards of preschool teachers.

- Standards on professional competence and expertise

+ Grasp the Party's and State's guidelines, policies, laws, regulations and requirements of the industry and locality on preschool education and effectively implement them in assigned tasks;

+ Effectively implement preschool education programs; proactively and flexibly adjust plans for nurturing, caring for, and educating children to suit the actual conditions of the school and locality;

+ Proactively organize and promptly coordinate with colleagues, parents or guardians of children and the community in the work of nurturing, caring for and educating children;

+ Ability to apply information technology in professional activities; ability to use foreign languages ​​or ethnic minority languages ​​according to job position requirements;

+ Recognized as a grassroots emulation fighter or excellent teacher at school level or higher or received a certificate of merit or certificate of merit from district level or higher;

+ Officials taking the exam or being considered for promotion to the professional title of preschool teacher grade II (code V.07.02.25) must have held the professional title of preschool teacher grade III (code V.07.02.26) or equivalent for at least 03 (three) years (excluding probationary period) by the deadline for submitting application for the exam or promotion.

* Standards of grade I preschool teachers

- Standards on training and development levels:

+ Have a bachelor's degree in preschool education or higher; or have a college degree in preschool education and a bachelor's degree in educational management or higher;

+ Have a training certificate according to the professional title standards of preschool teachers.

- Standards on professional competence and expertise

+ Actively and proactively implement and propagate, mobilize and guide colleagues to implement the policies, guidelines, laws of the Party and State, regulations and requirements of the industry and locality on preschool education in assigned work and tasks;

+ Be creative and flexible; share experiences, guide and support colleagues to implement preschool education programs and plans;

+ Actively and proactively share experiences, guide and support colleagues, parents and guardians of children and the community in the work of caring for, nurturing and educating children; capable of performing the tasks of a core teacher;

+ Ability to apply information technology in professional activities; ability to use foreign languages ​​or ethnic minority languages ​​according to job position requirements;

+ Recognized as a grassroots emulation fighter or excellent teacher from district level or higher or received a certificate of merit from provincial level or higher.

+ Officials taking the exam or being considered for promotion to the professional title of preschool teacher grade I (code V.07.02.24) must have held the professional title of preschool teacher grade II (code V.07.02.25) or equivalent for at least 09 (nine) years by the deadline for submitting application for the exam or consideration for promotion.
