From April 1 to June 30: Conducting the 2025 Business Survey

- The 2025 Enterprise Survey will be conducted in 63 provinces and centrally run cities to collect information on enterprises, cooperatives, and cooperative unions (collectively referred to as enterprises) with production and business activities in all sectors in the Vietnamese economic sector system (VSIC 2018), except for 3 sectors (sector O - activities of the Communist Party, socio-political organizations, state management, national security and defense, compulsory social security; sector U - activities of international organizations and agencies; sector T - activities of hiring domestic workers, production of material products and services for household self-consumption).

The survey contents include: Identification information (identification information of the survey unit; production and business sector; enterprise type; affiliated establishments of enterprises); labor and income of employees; results and costs of production and business; industrial production products of enterprises and branches of enterprises; export and import activities of enterprises; transportation costs, insurance costs of imported goods; agricultural, forestry and fishery production meeting the information requirements of the 2025 Rural and Agricultural Census... The 2025 Enterprise Survey conducts a comprehensive survey combined with a sample survey; using an indirect survey method by collecting information online through the use of an electronic survey form Webform.

Due to the different scale, localities across the country have different times to conduct the survey. Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City will conduct the survey from April 1 to July 31. Provinces and cities with 5,000 or more enterprises will conduct it from April 1 to June 30. The remaining provinces and cities will conduct the survey from April 1 to May 31; corporations and general corporations will conduct it from June 1 to July 15. Khanh Hoa province has 15,208 enterprises, of which 2,292 enterprises are sampled for the survey; the survey will be conducted in the province from April 1 to June 30.

- What will the results of the investigation be used for, madam?

- The official results of the 2025 Enterprise Survey are expected to be announced between December 2025 and March 2026. The results will serve the management, operation, assessment and forecasting of the socio-economic situation, policy making, and development planning of the entire economy and each locality. Data collected from the survey will be used to calculate a number of important indicators such as: Gross Domestic Product (GDP); Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in 2024; other statistical indicators of the National Accounts System and statistical indicators of economic sectors. The results from the 2025 Enterprise Survey will also be used to compile the "White Book of Enterprises 2025" and the "White Book of Cooperatives 2025"; Synthesize indicators of the agricultural, forestry and fishery sectors from enterprises participating in agricultural, forestry and fishery production within the scope of the 2025 Rural and Agricultural Census; update the database as a sampling frame for statistical surveys on enterprises and meet the needs of other information users.

- How is the coordination of the investigation in the province, madam?

- To effectively implement the 2025 Enterprise Survey in the province, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Statistics Office to preside over, organize the dissemination and full implementation of the survey contents to all enterprises in the province; coordinate with departments, branches, sectors and localities to fully implement the contents of the Enterprise Survey according to the survey plan.

At the same time, the Provincial Statistics Office also requested the Tax Department of Region XIII to provide a list and results of production and business activities of enterprises operating in the province up to December 31, 2024; newly established enterprises in 2024; review the number of enterprises in the province according to scale and operating status; propagate the survey on the unit's electronic information portal. The People's Committees of districts, towns and cities closely coordinate with statistical teams in the work of reviewing, propagating and collecting information of enterprises in the area and management area...
