T&T Group signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with the Vietnam Golf Association.
Vietnam is considered to have enough potential and opportunity to become the "Golf Paradise of Asia" because of its diverse terrain, long coastline with famous beautiful beaches, hills, majestic landscapes, and sunshine almost all year round - favorable conditions for the development of golf tourism. On the international golf map, Vietnam's golf has also been continuously honored by the World Golf Awards as the Best Golf Destination in the world and Asia. However, the Vietnamese golf market still faces many difficulties. Golf tourism products are still not diverse, the number of golf courses is still small, there are no professional awards, and many continental and world-class tournaments have not been organized... so the proportion of international tourists coming to Vietnam to play golf is still not high in the total number of international visitors to Vietnam.

Realizing the development potential and problems facing the golf market, T&T Group has decided to enter into a comprehensive strategic cooperation with the Vietnam Golf Association (VGA) and officially launched T&T Golf Academy - the first golf academy sponsored by VGA.

“The signing ceremony of a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement between the Vietnam Golf Association and T&T Group will be the first step, laying the foundation for us to work towards the goal of establishing a national standard golf academy - T&T Golf Academy at Van Lang Empire Golf Course, cooperating to build and implement the Vietnam Youth Golf Training Program; and cooperating to build and organize a system of professional, amateur and youth golf tournaments, contributing to promoting the golf movement in Vietnam”, Mr. Do Vinh Quang - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Deputy General Director of T&T Group shared. Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Vu Nguyen, Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Vietnam Golf Association, said that the combination between T&T Group and the Vietnam Golf Association will be the foundation for many tournaments to be held in the near future, bringing opportunities for golfers and athletes to test their skills on the Van Lang Empire Golf Club golf course. “We hope and are confident that this cooperation will help golfers have a new playground, put Vietnamese golf further on the world map and become a tourist attraction,” Mr. Vu Nguyen emphasized. T&T Golf Academy is a component of the Van Lang Empire Golf Club complex designed by Greg Norman and with special technical support from the Vietnam Golf Association. The academy is built on an area of 3 hectares at the center of the golf course complex. The academy is designed with 32 fixed practice lines on carpet and 20 practice lines directly on real grass, chip, put, bunker practice areas... and 2 3D practice rooms according to international standards. In addition, the Academy is also built and fully equipped with functions, ensuring that coaches, students and golfers can practice and experience, including: Large hall, Bar, Proshop, restaurant for 80 people, 150 male/female lockers, Fitness room... With the above design and functions, T&T Golf Academy promises to become one of the few standard golf academies in Vietnam. According to the comprehensive strategic cooperation, VGA will be the sponsor of the curriculum, coach standards... for the golf academy to ensure compliance with Vietnam's regulations and standards. T&T Golf Academy will be the home of the Vietnam national team, the players will be supported to use the facilities for training and competition.

T&T Group and VGA also agreed to cooperate in researching and developing the "Vietnam Youth Golf Training Program" , aiming to build a strong Vietnamese golf team in both quality and quantity, achieving high achievements in the region including winning medals at the Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) and medals at the Asian Games (Asiad); gradually bringing Vietnamese golf to a high ranking in the region and internationally in terms of competition achievements, strongly promoting the development of the Golf industry in Vietnam, contributing to the general development of tourism and the national economy; at the same time providing a source of human resources ensuring abundant quantity and quality, high expertise for Vietnam Golf in general. The Vietnam Youth Golf Training Program will be built from the Phu Tho Provincial Golf Team as a pilot and researched for wider implementation in the following stages. The two sides will also study and cooperate to organize professional, amateur, and youth golf tournaments with national standards at Van Lang Empire Golf Club, aiming for 3 main tournaments: Classic (Vietnam Professional Tournament); King Cup (Southern professional team competes with Northern professional team); Junior Tournament (Youth golf movement tournament). Mr. Nguyen Dac Thuy, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province, hopes that the cooperation between T&T Group and the Vietnam Golf Association will contribute to the development of golf tourism in the locality, aiming to realize the province's goal of developing diverse sports and culture with high achievements.
Perspective of T&T Golf Academy.
Up to now, the Van Lang Empire Golf Club project has the largest scale in Phu Tho province and is expected to become the leading international-class 36-hole golf course in the Northern region. This is the only golf course in Vietnam designed according to the cultural - historical - natural story of Van Lang and the Hung King Dynasty, promising to bring a masterpiece with its own unique marks, certainly an ideal destination sought after by golfers.
